    I paid $1000 to Lee from Boyd’s Custom Concrete before starting (total price was $2500) to form, rebar, place and finish an exposed concrete walkway and stairs.

    Lee and one worker named Will came to do formwork on the first day. They spent the whole day from 8:30-4:30 forming, and the rebar was just thrown on the ground without being placed in a grid pattern and wire tied together. It was obvious they were not professionals in this field, and as this is a job that is being re-done for the 3rd time I now know that the formwork and rebar should take approximately 2-3 hours to complete.

    They left for the day and then I started looking closer at the work that was done. It looked awful, measurements were wrong, things were very out of level/plumb, rebar would never pass code and literally nothing was right or as discussed.

    I called Lee and explained the problems. He said he would fix things on the same day the concrete was being poured. This was unacceptable after already spending 8 hours that there is no way I would pay to have a concrete truck standing by waiting for these amateurs to finish the forms. I told him he would not be returning and I wanted a refund to which he agreed but has never sent. He now does not return my calls or text messages.

    I have all text messages of communications and photos of work done for proof.
