If you're thinking about building a home from Forbes Capretto Homes, just punch yourself in the face instead. Choosing this company to build our home was one of the single worst decisions of our lives. We literally paid three quarters of a million dollars to a company who messed up at every possible turn, took advantage of us over and over again, and disappears when you need them. RUN AWAY.

We built our new home by Forbes Capretto and moved in 2018. Some of the post construction issues were addressed by them and some were not. Recently, I had noticed our hardwood floors were beginning to "cup". I found that the cause was a water leak from under the kitchen sink that went unnoticed due to the water going from the cabinet and down the supply lines, onto the plywood under the hardwood flooring. The reason for the leak was found to be the initial installation of the PVC drain pipes under the kitchen sink as well as the drain hose from the dishwasher. I had a private contractor check the cause of the leak and found that one pipe was too short at the connection and the drain hose from the dishwasher was not installed correctly. This caused the connection at the drain to fail and subsequently cause significant damage to the hardwood flooring. I contacted the builder, Forbes-Capretto who told me that the house was out of warranty and that there was nothing that they would do to help me. I explained that the cause was the initial installation but they still would not accept any responsibility and forced me to go though my home owners insurance to get the cabinet, piping and flooring fixed. It will be three (3) months of disruption now, phone calls and communications to the builder and contractors , plus an insurance claim to get my home fixed; all which should have been addressed by the builder. Forbes-Capretto was happy to take our money to build our home but would not stand by their work or with us (the customer) when this issue arose and was presented to them. Instead they refused to accept any responsibility or help us in any way. I always considered Forbes-Capretto to be an elite builder but have been very disappointed with their lack of assistance in this matter.

We lived in our first house for 45 years and since it was built in 1930 we had not experienced all that goes into a new build. We were a bit overwhelmed at all the decisions to be made, but Matt and the design team were extremely helpful. Matt arranged for us to see an almost completed home which helped us envision the layout, room sizes, etc. Frank was with us every step of the way...even sending us photos while we were in FL...and he's still there for us as we settle in. We have been in our new home for 3 months and couldn't be happier. My favorite room is my enclosed sun room with french doors. Matt and the architects made a couple design changes and the sun room is exactly what I envisioned. I love that the laundry room is so close to the owners' suite and although the kitchen is smaller than in our previous home it is much more efficient. We are very pleased with our decision to build with Forbes.
