Overview of Complaint Problem:Aviv Moving and Storage negligently damaged our furniture, during a move from *****, ** to ******, ** in November 2021. We were told, by Aviv's driver that our dining room table was broken due to overloaded weight, at their storage facility, and the legs buckled. The delivery people also dropped off 3 other furniture items that they agreed were broken. The driver also said that the Aviv Storage Manager told them about the furniture breakage before they departed for the delivery...We informed Aviv, about the problem and that the driver acknowledged that the items were broken in storage and they sent us to their insurance company (Anthem). We obtained estimates, from reputable furniture restoration companies, to repair the damaged items and it was @$2000.00. We wasted 6 months dealing with Anthem and they offered us $140 based on their guess of the weight of items (not the negligent damage). They also informed us that they are NOT an insurance company but a liability company.We have attached 2 emails and one estimate, for repairs, to this complaint. One of the emails was sent to Aviv notifying them of the problem, in November 2021, and the second email was sent to Anthem, in April 2022, notifying them that we rejected their $144 repair offer. The estimate, for repairs, is 2 pages and was done in January 2022.It should also be noted that Aviv indicated that we would receive full replacement value for damages in their agreement. Keep, in mind, that Aviv's driver and warehouse manager acknowledged negligently overloading the dining room table, in storage, which caused the legs to buckle, so this is NOT accidental damage, but negligence in the handling of our furniture.
