    On 4//52022, we hired Demelo technician to repair boiler ignition problem. During the initial phone call, we were told that the rate of charge will be $185/hour. The technician came and spent 2 hours (between 10:40 am to 12:40 am) performing the repair - cleaning the fire chamber, replacing pressure relief, expansion tank and auto fill valve. The problem was that the invoice of $1389 later had charges both falsely calculated and grossly inflated parts cost. 1) The labor was charged for 3 hours when the actual service performed was only 2 hours. When complained about this, they acknowledged that the actual service was only 2 hours but the extra time was for travel time. This is completely unethical as travel time charge was not mentioned prior to the service. Their website lists two dozen towns for their service coverage and Watertown is one of them. So there should not be any special arrangement for traveling to our address. In addition, the invoice already had a separate charge of $45 for travel. So we are doubly charged for travel time. 2) Their parts cost in the invoice is greatly inflated. The same part found in Amazon.com website was 2-3 times cheaper, as noted below. Expansion tank: $189.99 on the invoice. Amazon.com price: $70.50 Auto fill valve: $442.89 on the invoice. Amazon.com price: $128.35 Pressure relief valve: $89.70 on the invoice. Amazon.com rice: $34.98 In total, Demelo overcharged us by 185 + 119 + 314 + 55 = $673. That’s roughly half the invoice total! Therefore, I firmly request Demono HVAC to correct these charges with clear conscience and refund $673 to us.

    I am a contracted customer and will leave a comment on my experience I had a broken Kohler Toilet that leaked A technician came out and cleaned the Flapper and tested all about a hour or 2 later the tank leaked again I called back and under there rules this would be another ****** charge even thou the issue was not resolved I personally went to Lowes and purchased a large amount of flappers Tech arrived and none of these worked , I was charged again so far ****** to fix a toilet and still the issue not resolved. I was told the next step would be to go out myself and buy a toilet and they would install again another ****** at the least totaling ****** to fix a toilet. Ultimately a flush kit would probably have fixed the issue day one after learning the flapper failed I had very high hopes for this company and am very disappointed that there policy is to **** then **** and even on return **** I have learned the hard way there policy is even if the technician leaves and has to return the same day its billable. this single toilet has been a nightmare and I will lick my wounds and move on, Will also alert others of my experience I will have to do business with another company so once I am done it will be well over 700 for a toilet for a toilet just does not sound right at all One added note the technician was great, its the owners policy I am upset with -- in a perfect world technician would have been able to arrive -- investigate -- go get a flush kit install and charge me for the service call and the flush kit and been done. but here we are.
