    In January, I called ********************** Plumbing and arranged to have the company unclog a drain and replace a leaky faucet. I was told the billable rate would be $175 for the first hour and $125 per hour thereafter.On January 15 ************ showed up, one much younger than the other. Based on their interactions, it appeared to me that the younger plumber was being trained.I had given ********************** my credit card information and agreed to be charged for the work. It wasnt until after the fact that I received an invoice for $2,024.72. I was shocked.I first called to discuss my concerns on February 2. I ultimately received a detailed email from **** **********************, the companys president, on February 28. In it he wrote, Upon your initial call-in request for plumbing service for a leaky faucet and a clogged drain, we had taken the time to completely inform you of our rates and billing procedures. We informed you on our recorded line on January 3rd, 2024 at 1:54 pm. Mr. ********************** agreed to refund me $230, and indicated, I am now noting that this is a closed case.Despite those words, I emailed back on March 3. I wrote, Thank you for your detailed response. I have one follow-up question: Upon my initial call on your recorded line, did you inform me that ************ would be coming to do the work?Its now a month later and I havent received a response. Based on Mr. ********************** email, the company has a recording of my initial phone call. If the recording shows I was told ************ would be coming to do the work, then I apologize for wasting everyones time.However, if I wasnt informed of that, then I feel the call was misleading. If ************ were needed, then the rate wasnt $175 for the first hour and $125 per hour thereafter, but twice that. If so, I believe what ********************** did was not a good business practice, and feel I should not be charged for the younger plumber. Assuming $800 for his time, less the previous $230 refund, I would like a refund of an additional $570.

    I booked an appointment two weeks in advance and was quoted 175 first hour and 125 for each hour after that. The guy showed up on time and completed everything in 90 minutes (I have time stamped on security camera) it was very Minor job swapping out shower valve mixer and replacing an elbow in basement. They said the office would send itemized receipt, they required cc at time of appointment in order to book. A week later they sent me a receipt for $877 charge to my card with no breakdown of charges. I called the office and explained, the woman said she would check the crews GPS and get back to me. They never followed up, rather they sent a receipt refunding $75.. so a bill that should have been maybe ******* (rounding up for time and parts) they over charged me over 400 and to this day will not give me breakdown of how they came up With the 877 charge. After looking at yelp reviews this seems to be how they Operate.

    In response to your complaint. The facts are as follows. You called in requesting plumbing repairs. Upon scheduling your appointment our office FULLY informed you of our billing rates and procedures on our recorded line. The receptionist asked you if you had any questions and also asked if you still wanted to move forward on our recorded line. We also informed you that we would mail you your paid receipt when billing was processed the following business day. You agreed and provided the payment method.

    As we initially told you you travel time DOES not start when you see him on your " security camera and or at arrival" and also even if you are ".9 miles " away. As per your complaints on social media there is no problem with the workmanship we provided. We successfully completed multiple repairs to your home. Our office also told you upon your call in to dispute the bill that the bill would be reviewed and we would also recheck  the vehicle gps report and we would let you know if there was an error found. We would only call you back if we made an error.  The problem that bothers you is the cost of the service. We understand that we are all paying more for everything these days so in a good faith effort we even gave you a courtesy refund of $75.00 in an effort to help. And this is how you show you appreciation? We would also like to point out that you had previously used us two other times prior and our billing format and procedures have always been the same We have a customer base of over ****** satisfied and loyal customers.
