The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either a) did not accept the response, OR b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.

I contracted with the company to do electrical work changing my 100 amp electrical unit to 200 amp as I was putting in air conditioning. The company was very nice and actually suggested an air conditioning company. The work happened in May 2021. John McCurdy from J P McCurdy Electrical Services, Inc. will be coming Tuesday, 27 April 2021 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM for ROUGH COST APPRAISAL then on Tue, Apr 27, 2021, 2:56 PM I received an estimate for the work which I approved. They requested 1/2 up front and 1/2 when job was complete I paid the first half on 5/19/21 11:44 AM Ref #: R639607042259 Authorization Code: 02595B and then the 2nd by check when the work was complete. Paid in full. Fast forward to Feb 4 2022 and I received a bill for appox. 1900 for the work in May. This $1900 was never discussed, never approved via electrotonic email like their estimate was, never included in the estimate. All they said was our hard drive crashed and you owe us. Again, this was never discussed or included in their estimate at all. Then I received another email saying that the work was never inspected in Feb. 2022. To me this is very strange that the company would do a job, not get it inspected, charge a consumer a fraudulent bill all over 10 months later. From their invoice you will see in their writing this was unscheduled. attached

I used JP McCurdy to install recessed lights in my living room. The ceiling was sloped and very high and Shazeeb and **** did a great job. They also installed overhead lights in bedrooms and put in a 240-volt outlet for a washer/dryer room. They communicated with me about my preferences throughout the job. Their work was professional and clean. They also patched the holes they made, which some electricians wouldnt do.
