** Oct 2022, I scheduled two dental visits at their office. I provided insurance information before the visits.** Nov 2022, I went to their office twice for dental service. During these visits, I was provided with agreements for each visit. These agreements contained numbers indicating how much my insurance would pay and how much I needed to pay. I asked the nurse more than once if they had confirmed with my insurance, and the nurse answered yes. I then signed the agreements and paid my portion, which was around $80 each time.** March 2023, I received a statement from Dental art company indicating that my copay was $210 and $140 for each visit. These are just two examples. I sent the three letter to the Dental ************ ** the first response letter, they claimed their staff is not trained with insurance knowledge, so what they said doesn't count. Giving their business nature that deals with insurance companies, this excuse is unacceptable, unfair to consumers.** a second response letter, Dental *********** claimed that those numbers were just 'estimates' by their staff. So their price quote or price estimate is kind of "Bait and Switch," that misleads consumers.Although these agreements were titled something like "price estimate," they failed to disclose that they didn't get those numbers from my insurance company or verify those numbers with my insurance company. They failed to tell me relevant information.Those final prices that they are asking me to pay are about $400 more than those estimated numbers. This unfair business practice and misconduct clearly violated ************ 93A of the *****************************.
