I brought my car in to ARD Motorsports for an engine rebuild. I gave pretty general guidelines. I told them that this was going to be a streetcar and needed to function on the street. If we could have some sensible upgrades while in the car than great. It took almost a full year longer than quoted and almost double the price, but the job was horribly done and I was lied to about what was done. As best I can tell nothing was properly torqued down. My drivetrain came apart in the middle of the road and had to be pushed off. The electrical issues have been so bad that if I leave the car for more than a few days I have to take the battery out to charge inside. Worst yet is the emissions. I brought in a car that passed emissions. I was returned a car that did not pass. I was never asked about this and was not informed until after I paid. To "smooth things over" the owner agreed to pass it the first time on his own. He told me that in the future I could take the new computer out, and put the old computer in and in a few hours of driving it would pass. I never considered being in this position and felt like I had no option so I let him, but when it came time for me to do it on my own in ****************************************************************** again. He had his money. Now that I know what needs to be done I have the unfortunate choice of having to probably incriminate myself or have a car that can't be registered. I did take him to court over this, but he defended himself because ARD motorsports doesn't technically exist anymore. It reincorporated as "******* ******************** The judge let me testify against ARD, but ARD doesn't have assets anymore. It is dissolved and everything went to ******* ******************* There is no longer pending litigation.
