I purchased a Member’s Mark Ridley Media Fireplace from Sam’s Club online on January 20, 2024. I paid $456.69 for the item. I did a curbside pickup for item at Sam’s Club on January 21, 2024. When I got the item home and unboxed the item it had heavy damage to the product. I chatted the online chat for Sam’s Club and reported the damage and they told me to return it to the store. I told them that the item had been unboxed and it was a very large item and could not pick up the item myself and load it back in my truck. Sam’s Club agreed via chat to have J Bruce Truck Lines pick up the item from my home. I was provided a AIT tracking # and a text stating when they would pick it up. They picked it up while I was not at home. The company now refuses to issue me a refund for the item that they had picked up. They said that since it was a store pick up item that I needed to get my refund from the store. Sam’s Club Wake Forest refuses to give me my refund because I don’t have my product and the trucking company or Sam’s Club will not give me a receipt that it was picked up. The company of Sam’s Club has given me the run around since February 2023. They initially gave in and said that they would give me the refund, but it never got put back on my credit card. They then said the refund failed to revert to my credit card. They now will not even consider giving me a refund. They report the item was picked up back on 1/29/24 and was returned to Sams Club facilities on 2/14/24. They also report that the terminal where it was dropped off received signed paperwork.
