I contacted American Leak Detection of Northwest Washington Late last year per information on their web site indicating they could find the source of any leak with expertly trained technicians and state of the art technology. I explained to the lady that answered the phone several roofers and contractors had been unsuccessful in the past by just using a hose to try to replicate the leak and I needed the source pinpointed to a ****************** to be of any value. She assured me that for the price that she quoted, that their highly trained professionals with cutting edge equipment would do exactly that.When the technician showed up on 2/22 I relayed that same information and he made a comment that the ladies that do the scheduling didn't understand what has to happen in the field and asked if he should proceed. Given I was told that I would have to pay almost $400 for travel time regardless, I let him continue. He was unsuccessful in finding the source of the leak indicating that it was too cold for the cutting edge equipment to work and he had another job to get to so chose to end the service call. If he know that the thermal imaging was not going to work, why proceed with the service call when it's below freezing?I was sent a **** for $1,092.36 and a report that didn't tell me anything I didn't already know that did not pinpoint the source of the leak. I called American Leak Detection Northwest WA to discuss but was told there was no manager to talk to but someone would get back to me. I have been unable to find an email for the local franchise and get voice mail the times I've called since. I have also sent emails and letters with my contact information to 3 different people including corporate offices and never received a reply. I am asking for the stated/promised service or cancellation of the billing. I am attaching the letter that I sent via **** and email to ******************, **************** at Corporate and ************** from the billing department.
