The mission of United Way of Anchorage is to mobilize the community to make lasting, measurable changes in community conditions that improve all lives.

United Way of Anchorage works to mobilize the resources of individuals, companies, governments and labor to make lasting change in the lives of the people in their community. United Way of Anchorage's programs are focused on three main areas:
- Education - Children enter school ready to succeed & youth graduate and reject violence and substance abuse.
- Income - Residents are financially stable and housed.
- Health - Access to quality healthcare and practice healthy behaviors.
