On 12/7/2022, I took my son, ****** ******, to Alpha Dental for surgery to have 4 impacted teeth removed. I was not informed, until that day, that I was required to pay for the surgery, before it would be done. I explained that we had already met our $6,000 insurance deductible, and that I was told by ******* ******, that the surgery would be covered. I was told by Alpha staff, that they also contacted both of my insurance companies, and although they received the same information, still required me to pay for the surgery, in full. They assured that Alpha would file an insurance claim with my insurance companies, so that I would be reimbursed. I reluctantly paid $3,271. I asked for an itemized receipt, I was given a 2 inch receipt, for the credit card charge. It had no information about what I was paying for. I have called Alpha weekly, and I'm told every time, that they have filed the claim with my insurance. And every time, they have been lying to me. I have talked to several representatives, including a man names Renee, who says he is a supervisor. I have asked to speak to a higher authority, to escalate the situation, and he says there is nobody for me to talk to. As of today, neither ******* ******, or *******, have received any claims from Alpha Dental. As a medical biller myself, I know how simple it is to send an insurance claim. I also know that they only way the patient to be reimbursed for any covered charges that they have paid, is for the provider to file a claim. Alpha has their money, since they blind sided me at the time of the visit. They clearly do not care about filing the claim, so that I can be reimbursed from my insurance company. And lying to me every week, is totally unacceptable. Paying an unexpected $3,271, right before Christmas, has place a financial hardship on my family, and is causing a lot of stress. I desperately need this to be resolved, and obviously, Alpha will not send the claim to my insurance companies.
