I do not recommend this apartment complex. The advertisement is misleading. This is not an "upgraded" place to "live well" as the ad says. The amenity mentioned in their advertisement is an on-site laundry facility. There are only four working washers and six working dryers for the entire complex, which has approximately 100 units. Most of us have to go to laundromats because the demand for laundry exceeds the available washers and dryers. Additionally, there are no "private" patios"; only a small porch at the front door - the only door and only egress, in the event of fire. We cannot exit through the only two windows; the screens have been permanently attached with screws. I recently checked the fire extinguishers, which are on the wall, outside. The two my area has access to have not been checked in the past two years. Further, some tenants are wheelchair bound. These tenants could not reach the extinguishers, IF they were fortunate enough to escape an apartment fire. The apartments have not been upgraded; they are being downgraded and the rent has been increased to the point of over-inflation. My heating unit is malfunctioning; I believe it is leaking carbon monoxide. My CO2 detector does not work, so I'm going on symptoms I and my emotional companion support pet have been experiencing: Headaches, nausea, dizziness, lethargy, and breathing issues. These symptoms decrease if we leave the apartment for one or two hours. Black mold was found in the unit next door to me. Cleaning it became the tenant's responsibility. Even though we pay an additional $25.00 for water, last week, we were told to remove all water hoses from the outdoor spigots in order to save water. Maintenance is in the process of cutting the spigots off at the wall. Tenants with small flower gardens have been told to remove the gardens. The grass will soon die and become a fire hazard we cannot control without access to outdoor water sources. No! For your safety, do not move here.
