BBB Serving NH opened an investigation on SEB Freight on June 18, 2020 after receiving a report from BBB's scam tracker. Several more inquiry calls ensued from around the country as a result of questionable business practices.

Consumers notified BBB that they were led to this shipping business through advertisements in auto-trader type magazines, mostly for vintage motor vehicles. In all instances, consumers reported that after calling about the advertisements, they were notified that the sellers of the vehicles were out of the country either on business or due to a military assignment, and that they were utilizing SEB Freight or Concord Auto Sales to assist in completing the sale. SEB Freight / Concord Auto Sales were to collect the fee for the sale of the vehicle and then ship the car to the buyer. The funds were to be held in escrow until the consumer noted his/her satisfaction with the vehicle. Consumers alleged that if they did not approve of their purchase that the money would be refunded in full. If consumers approved of the vehicle, the money would be forwarded from the escrow account to the seller of the vehicle. The only form of payment being accepted by SEB Freight or Concord Auto Sales is a bank-to-bank wire transfer.

On June 19, 2020 BBB confirmed through property records that the address listed on the SEB Freight website houses multiple small businesses. The property manager confirmed that SEB Freight does not have a physical presence at any of the units between 57-81 N Main Street Concord, NH, as advertised.

The New Hampshire Secretary of State's Office has no business registered by the name SEB Freight, Sebum Freight or Concord Auto Sales. Their telephone number goes to a voicemail box of "David Nilsson". A review of the website sebfreight.com shows that it was created on June 7, 2020. Concordautosalesllc.com was created on June 29, 2020. In addition, BBB has been unable to verify record of any licenses with the United States Department of Transportation which is required for this type of business.

This business is displaying the BBB Accredited Business Seal which links to a fake BBB Profile. This business is not a BBB Accredited Business and has been instructed to remove the false claim from its website.

Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot confirm the legitimacy of a business calling itself SEB Freight or Concord Auto Sales.
