On 7/14/2022 the business was asked to verify information regarding the business structure and non-profit status as the business stated they are a non profit. After various emails, on 8/18/2022 the business has not provided all information requested and has not provided a debt settlement/debt management license with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. They have not clarified whether Active Debt Relief takes any fee or fees from consumers and in what form or if the business accepts any donations from anyone since the organization is a not for profit.
