In July 2025, BBB received a notice that Mystery Shopping Services’ name and logo is being used by scammers. The imposter is contacting individuals, often via text or email, to inform targets that they’ve been selected for a mystery shopping job to ‘audit’ another business by purchasing gift cards with a fake check.
The business asks consumers to review the following information:
“How To Spot, Avoid, and Report Fake Check Scams | Consumer Advice (FTC)
We do not engage in gift card or check scamming schemes nor will we ever pay for services in advance.”
