About Our Foundations | BBB Pacific Southwest

BBB Foundation exists to educate individuals and businesses about marketplace issues and charitable giving practices and reinforce BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust. BBB's Foundation is organized as 501(c)(3) non-profit corporations for charitable and educational purposes. 

BBB Foundations offer consumers tools and resources about making informed purchasing decisions, and supports businesses in their efforts to operate with the highest ethical standards. Programs are offered within BBB's service area, free of charge to schools, colleges, universities, clubs, civic organizations and others as requested.

 

FUNDING SOURCES

The programs and activities of BBB's Foundation are made possible largely through the financial support of the BBB Golf Classic, Integrity Online Auction, corporate sponsorships and grants, as well as donations by individuals and BBB accredited business. PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES

Events 
BBB's Foundation hosts two main events every year: the annual Torch Awards for Ethics, honoring local businesses and the Golf Classic

Youth Scholarships
We believe it’s never too early to make ethics a big deal, especially with our future leaders! Over the years, BBB Serving the Pacific Southwest has issued scholarship money to Arizona & California high school students based on their ethical behavior in athletics and academics. Consumer Education Programs 
BBB consumer education programs inform people of all ages to help them make wise choices, and engage businesses, consumers and donors in important marketplace issues. Every year, BBB provides workshops, seminars, and resources to thousands of consumers throughout our service area. 

BBB Military Line
We believe that "Knowledge is Power" and "Financial Readiness equals Mission Readiness." Through BBB Military Line consumer education program and our web-based and mobile technology endeavors, we work to bring financial literacy to a most deserving segment of our population. Education and outreach that is user focused - on the ground - on the web - and through mobile technology - we seek to equip those who serve, have served, and their families with the tools they need to navigate an ever changing and often complex marketplace.
