About Student of Integrity

More than 30 years ago, businesses in the Upstate came together to promote high standards of business ethics and conduct, forming the Better Business Bureau of the Upstate. Each year, our BBB and BBB Education Foundation recognize workplace ethics by honoring area companies as part of its Annual Celebration of Ethics.

In 2007, the BBB and BBBEF began honoring future members of our business community with the Student of Integrity Awards scholarship program.   

The Student of Integrity scholarship program recognizes high school seniors who personify high character through personal integrity, leadership, community service and academic accomplishments.  BBB of Upstate SC hopes to develop future business leaders who will promote ethics in the Upstate marketplace.

Applications are distributed to every high school in the 10-county region of Upstate South Carolina, and up to two applications per high school will be accepted. Scholarships of $1,000 or more are rewarded.
