What is the Ethics in Action program?
Better Business Bureau serving the Heart of Texas created Ethics in Action to deliver a fun, interactive ethics curriculum that teaches kids and students how every day ethical decisions can influence their lives. Ethics in Action uses videos, games and participation to drive discussions and get kids thinking.
What is the Ethics in Action program’s purpose?
The sole purpose of the Ethics in Action program is to engage kids and students to help them recognize the choices they make every day affect not only themselves.
How does this program benefit the kids I work with?
Ethics in Action introduces BBB’s standards and marketplace ethics to a younger audience and develop future business leaders, while providing critical soft skills training with a focus on education standards.
What topics does the Ethics in Action curriculum cover?
The modules designed for the Ethics in Action program cover Everyday Ethics, Online Safety & Cyberbullying and Financial Literacy. Girl Scouts can request the tailored Everyday Ethics: Cookie Business Ethics module for their troops. There are plans to develop more curriculum in the future.
Who is this program designed for?
The Ethics in Action program was designed to reach students in elementary, middle and high school, children in youth groups like Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Boys & Girls Clubs. This program can also be delivered to juveniles in court systems and alternative education programs.
