In December 2021, BBB reviewed the business details of S&I Snow Services following a consumer report indicating that the business had taken a deposit and never rendered services. To date, the consumer has been unsuccessful in reaching the business and in obtaining a refund.
BBB attempted to contact the business via e-mail and telephone on multiple occasions with no success. In a written attempt, BBB had requested confirmation of the business address as the website indicates an address different than that supplied on the consumer's contract. Further research suggests that they business does not appear to be a tenant of either address.
As Ottawa based snow ploughing businesses are regulated by licensing under By-law No. 2002-189, BBB requested that the business provided proof of their contractors license. Lastly, BBB had also requested clarification in the use information on their website that is consistent with that of 2 businesses- one of which is based in central Ontario and the other based out of Alberta. Neither business appears to be affiliated with S&I Snow Services.
Due to the lack of response from S&I Snow Services, BBB is unable to confirm the business details and legitimacy of the company.
