The Better Business Bureau® (BBB) of North Central Texas has issued an "F" rating for Becket Media LLC after the company failed to respond to 84 consumer complaints from customers across 40 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces. Despite multiple outreach attempts, Becket Media LLC has not addressed the pattern of complaints brought to BBB’s attention. BBB is reporting 116 complaints filed in the past three years. However, fourteen of those are from 2025.

Becket Media LLC provides grading and authentication services for collectibles, including baseball cards, World Series ticket stubs, jerseys, and more. However, complaints filed with BBB highlight serious concerns about the company’s services:

  • Authentication issues. Consumers report sending collectibles for authentication services, only for items to be returned damaged or not returned at all.
  • Misleading service timelines. Customers claim Becket Media LLC failed to meet advertised processing times, leading to frustration and unmet expectations.
  • Subscription billing problems. Some consumers say they were double charged for magazine subscriptions or paid for multi-year subscriptions that were never fulfilled.
  • Poor customer service. Consumers report difficulties reaching customer support, unanswered refund requests, and a lack of resolution to their concerns.

“The primary reason for issuing warnings like this is to prevent others from experiencing the same issues that have already been reported to BBB,” said Monica Horton, BBB Spokesperson. "BBB publishes business reports to help consumers make informed decisions—so they know who to trust and who to avoid.”
