The International Association of Better Business Bureaus (IABBB), the governing body and unifying hub of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) network, announces that Rebekah E. Dopp has been appointed Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the BBB, one of the most recognized and enduring brands in North America. With more than a century of data capturing how businesses and consumers engage, and with the trusted local relationships that anchor communities across the U.S. and Canada, BBB is uniquely positioned to lead in the AI era as the definitive source of trust. Under Dopp’s leadership, the BBB brand will transform its digital platform, unlock the value of its data, and scale its model to extend the impact of local BBBs across North America and beyond.

Dopp brings more than two decades of leadership at the intersection of media, technology, and institutional reinvention. She is the founder of Exponent EBI and has held executive roles at HBO, CBS, Google, YouTube, and The CW. She has driven transformational growth across federated networks and legacy institutions, pairing bold innovation with brand integrity and turning complexity into scalable results. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated that BBB’s greatest strength – trust established locally, one relationship at a time – can be scaled to deliver lasting impact across industries and communities.
Dopp’s selection follows an extensive national search led by Staffing Advisors, a Washington, D.C.-based executive search and strategy consulting firm, and a BBB Accredited Business. The IABBB Board of Directors underscored that the process was intentional and exacting, focused on finding a CEO able to unite cutting-edge technology with the programs and services that strengthen marketplace trust for businesses and consumers alike.
