Painting a brighter future: Behind the Business with Paint Bros MA in Haverhill, MA
Paint Bros MA is a story of rapid growth, community connection, and a passion for leaving things better than they found them.
Paint Bros MA offers a full range of painting and drywall solutions for both homes and businesses. Their services include interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, cabinet refinishing, and deck staining.
Founded in 2023, by Justin Lebbos and Jake Giuffrida, the company started with just one crew and a single painting estimator. In less than two years, they’ve expanded to more than 50 painters and drywallers, a couple of estimators, and a small office staff. They recently opened their first physical location in Haverhill, marking another milestone in their journey.
“When we first started, it was just us, one crew, and an estimator,” Lebbos said. “Since then, we’ve grown to over 50 painters and drywallers in the field. We’ve become well known across most of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and practically a household name in the Merrimack Valley.”
That growth didn’t happen by accident. The Paint Bros MA team is made up of what Lebbos proudly calls “all-stars,” skilled professionals who share their dedication to quality work and exceptional customer service. But what motivates them most isn’t just expansion; it’s the reactions they get from clients.
“The number one part about running any home renovation business is happy clients,” Lebbos explained. “Everybody loves a five-star review, but so often we leave such a positive impact on our clients that they leave detailed reviews with photos and give shout-outs to members of our staff. That’s the best part of this business.”
Those reviews and community connections show up in small, everyday ways too. “People are always waving at our trucks when they go by,” Lebbos said. “It’s a great feeling.”
The flow of seasons in New England doesn’t just affect daily life, it defines how Paint Bros MA runs its business. While some view the seasonal nature of construction as a challenge, Lebbos sees it as part of what makes their work special. “There’s no better place to work than New England,” he said. “January and February are the slowest months for almost any construction which means starting out the year with plenty of vacation. After that comes the busiest time of year, with lots of exterior painting from May until August. Next thing you know, we are cruising down gorgeous New Hampshire roadways with fall foliage. It keeps things interesting and creates a great rhythm for business.”
Their commitment doesn’t stop at their job sites. Paint Bros MA has built giving back into the heart of its mission. Their charity of choice is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and they host fundraisers at least twice a year. This year, Paint Bros MA is going even further. “We’re giving back in a big way: $5,000 in free home makeovers to somebody who needs it the most,” Lebbos said. “We’ll be picking two people, nominated by our community, for $2,500 in painting.”
Justin and Jake’s deep roots in the Merrimack Valley are part of what makes their work so personal. They’re both from Methuen, MA, both attended Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, and are well connected throughout the Merrimack Valley.
“These connections have helped us build a client base and a community of support that cheers on our success,” Justin said. “Paint Bros MA is a great example of what’s possible when quality work, community trust, and genuine care come together.”
