
BBB Serving Canton Region & Greater West Virginia to host 12th Annual Shred & E-Cycle event September 20th

Dover, OH (August 20, 2025) - The Better Business Bureau® is offering a free community shred & e-cycle event on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm in the parking lot of Buehler’s located at 3000 N Wooster Ave. Dover, OH 44622.
The event promotes identity theft awareness and fraud protection by providing free on-site document shredding and electronic recycling (e-cycling) services. Identity theft scams reported to BBB last year show that $111,108,966.89 was lost.
Proactively shredding personal documents and properly disposing of electronics are some of the best ways to protect against fraud and identity theft. Businesses and individuals can participate in this community event by bringing documents with personal and financial information to shred, and outdated, unused electronics to properly e-cycle.
Go Shred will provide the document shredding services and eCycle Solutions of Ohio will provide the e-cycling services. Accepted electronics: Batteries (no alkaline), cable, CDs, cell phones, circuit boards, computers, fluorescent light bulbs*, game consoles, ink and toner cartridges, IT equipment, keyboards and mice, laptops, modems, computer monitors**, MP3 players, phone systems, printers, routers, satellite boxes, servers, speakers, telecom equipment, televisions**, UPS units, and video games. No household batteries (AA, AAA, D, C, 9 volt or button).
*$1.00/4ft tube or smaller; $2.00/8ft tube
**Flat screen monitors: $5.00 charge; flat screen TVs: $10.00 charge.
There is no charge for this event other than the fees for certain electronics listed above; however, monetary donations to the BBB Charitable & Educational Fund, Inc. are appreciated to continue to provide this service.
