
BBB of Arkansas honors winners of 2025 Student Video Contest

The Better Business Bureau® of Arkansas is proud to announce the winners of its 2025 Student Video Contest, a statewide competition encouraging high school students to explore marketplace ethics and consumer protection through video storytelling. This year’s contest awarded a total of $7,650 in prizes to schools and students across the state.
The grand prize was awarded to Haas Hall Academy in Fayetteville for their video "Exploring the Ecosystem of Commerce," created by the team Halal Guys, earning 1st place. The team will receive a $2,500 prize for their school and $250 gift cards for each team member.
Other winners included:

Sylvan Hills High School’s team JAKL for their video "Better Equipment", receiving 2nd place and $1,500 for their school and a $150 gift card per team member.

Southside High School’s team D.E.R.K. for "Totally Not a Scam Phone Repairs", receiving 3rd place and $1,000 for their school and a $100 gift card per team member.

Lakeside Junior High’s team Fruity Pebbles for their video "Online Shopping Scam", earning the Distinction Award along with a $500 school prize and $50 gift cards for three students.

Sylvan Hills High School’s team ACA for "Better Business Bureau Saves the Day!", recognized as a finalist for their creativity and messaging.
The BBB Student Video Contest is hosted annually by the BBB of Arkansas and its Education Foundation, providing students a platform to engage with real-world issues like scam awareness, ethical business practices, and consumer protection in a creative and impactful way. “We are so proud of the creativity, insight, and teamwork these students displayed,” said Bonita Minchew, President and CEO of the BBB of Arkansas. “This contest helps students think critically about ethical commerce and the importance of trust in the marketplace.”
