The Better Business Bureau of Chicago & Northern Illinois (BBB) is honored to announce its new board members activated at its 99th Anniversary at the Hilton Hotel on Michigan. With hundreds of business leaders and their guests attending, the event featured a keynote address on motivation, teamwork, and savoring every moment in your life by Chicago Bears legend Dan Hampton.

Hampton, a Hall of Fame player, and a key member of the 1985 Superbowl Champions, drew an extended standing ovation after his comments.

The event also included a key highlight, the announcement of several top business leaders to the Board of Directors. In alphabetical order, they are:

Aaron Brotherton - VP of Marketing and Patient Success, Beltone

Aaron Brotherton is a seasoned marketing leader with over two decades of experience in both agency and client-side roles, specializing in the growth of global brands across e-commerce and retail channels. He currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Patient Success at Beltone, a leading retail hearing care chain that has called Chicago home for over 85 years. With 1,200 locations across North America, Beltone provides innovative hearing solutions and delivering exceptional patient care.

Before his work in the hearing care industry, Aaron led marketing for notable brands such as SharkNinja, where he led marketing for the cordless vacuum division, driving category growth and expanding market share. At Nautilus, he led the direct response marketing team for Bowflex, Schwinn, and other fitness brands, leveraging multi-channel strategies to drive sales and brand engagement.

Beyond his professional career, Aaron enjoys writing and performing music. He is also an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. When he's not working, you can find him spending time with his wife and children and discovering new restaurants in his second home, Chicago.

Michael Morgan - VP of Finance, Bally’s Chicago

Michael Morgan is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as the Vice President of Finance and property CFO for Bally’s Chicago. Michael is responsible for overall financial management and reporting of the company, including cage/player services, count room operations, financial and operational accounting, financial analysis, and information technology services.

Morgan, 67, has over 42 years of casino resort operational and financial experience in both Native American Casinos and Commercial Casinos throughout the United States and internationally in the Caribbean, Canada, and Cyprus.

Morgan is currently part of the executive leadership team as Vice President of Finance for Bally’s Chicago operating a temporary casino while the permanent Casino Resort is under construction.

Roberto Ramirez – CEO Hispanic Public Media | Hispanic Public Media Foundation

With little more than $20 needed to open a checking account and $100 he borrowed from his mother, Roberto founded TIDY, a full service, janitorial and custodial company serving commercial clients in the City of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

In 1996, just six years after starting his company, Roberto and TIDY were honored with the “Chicago Hispanic Business of the Year” award presented by the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA.org). Later that year, Roberto was officially granted U.S. citizenship. Soon after, he was elected to the HACIA Board of Directors.

Currently, Roberto is the CEO of HISPANIC Public Radio and HISPANIC Public Media Foundation, which he founded, whose mission is to cultivate and sustain the Spanish-speaking community through a multi-media platform broadcast on the Internet.

Roberto is also a board member at the Pan American Bank & Trust, Board member at AMERICAN Bank Corp, Advisory Board member at Qualitas of Life Foundation in New York City and an Advisor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico Chicago campus and most recently elected to the Illinois Chamber of Commerce board of Directors in Illinois.

Matthew Rose - SVP, Customer Experience, Rate Inc.

Matthew Rose is an accomplished Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Rate, Inc., where he has led transformative initiatives since May 2023. In this high-impact role, he reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer. He collaborates with senior leadership, including the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Innovation Officer, and others, to drive innovation and enhance customer experience.

Matthew oversees critical functions such as Fair Lending and Fair Appraisal reviews and acts as the final escalation point for high-level consumer complaints, executive inquiries, and regulatory responses. A key achievement during his tenure has been the successful implementation of a modernized recording system, improving data accuracy and reporting. He has also played a pivotal role in driving technological advancements, providing strategic input on app development, AI-driven chat systems, and IVR technology, all of which have significantly streamlined customer interactions and improved service delivery.

Before his current role, Matthew served as Director of Customer Success and Regulatory Response, focusing on optimizing operational processes and improving team performance. His leadership was integral in introducing new quality control measures and enhancing cross-departmental collaboration, which collectively elevated both customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

“All of our award board members exemplify the goals and principles of the Better Business Bureau to support and foster an ethical marketplace benefiting both consumers and businesses,” says Steve J. Bernas, president & CEO of the BBB.
