Better Business Bureau of North Alabama has partnered with Family Security Credit Union to host spring shred days in Florence, Huntsville, Decatur, Scottsboro and Cullman. The events will give area residents the opportunity to help protect their identities and the environment in a quick and easy drive-thru set up.
President/CEO, Karen Reeves, states, “We are proud to host our annual spring shred days as part of our ongoing commitment to scam prevention and fraud education. These events not only help protect personal information by securely destroying sensitive documents, but they also foster awareness around identity theft prevention. We invite everyone to participate and take advantage of this free service to promote safer and more informed communities across North Alabama."
Free document shredding will be available at all five shred day locations. There is a limit of three kitchen size bags or three file storage boxes per vehicle. Only paper documents will be accepted. All other materials such as plastic, metal and binders must be removed. Shredding will be accepted until the shred trucks reach full capacity.
