The Better Business Bureau® serving Canton Region and Greater West Virginia warns consumers nationwide about a credit card processing company used to convince consumers to renew a subscription service.

BBB has received 16 complaints and 3 negative customer reviews against My Global Web Solution, LLC, with a significant increase in complaints since November of 2023. The Canton area business targets consumers who are attempting to renew a subscription service, claiming to be the credit card processing company for businesses such as Amazon Prime, Sirius XM, Spectrum, and Amtrak. The complaints from consumers state that a Google search for Amazon Prime, Sirius XM, Spectrum, and Amtrak has led them to the phone number to call this business.

When the consumers call to renew their subscription, they are offered a discounted rate for services. Once the payment goes through, the consumer’s subscriptions for those services do not work. When they contact the real company (Amazon Prime, Sirius XM, Spectrum, and Amtrak), they are told there is no record of the purchase on their end.

The dollar loss reported to BBB about this business ranges from $200.00 to $1,984.00.

The complainants are from the following states: MA, AL, TN, IL, CA, OK, FL, MN, IN, NY, NV, MS, and AR.

My Global Web Solution, LLC has stopped responding to complaints as of January 2024.

BBB has placed a warning on the BBB Business Profile for My Global Web Solution, LLC alerting consumers of the existing issues.

BBB has reached out to My Global Web Solution, LLC and has not received a response.

To avoid falling victim, BBB recommends the following:

  • Renew subscriptions directly with the company’s customer service number. Do not rely on a Google search to provide a customer service phone number for a company. Go directly to the company’s website and verify the number before calling.
  • Do not fall for deals that seem too good to be true. Scammers use these tactics to bait consumers into providing payment details before the “deal” ends.
  • Do not make decisions over the phone. End the call and conduct research to verify that the claims are true. Search the company on BBB.org to read reviews and complaints. Search BBB.org/ScamTracker to determine if other consumers have reported similar experiences.
  • Do not provide payment information if there is any doubt about the call. Proceed with caution and take the time to verify the information received.
