Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific has revoked the BBB Accreditation of Wyoming-based Golf Knack after consumers alleged that they were enrolled in a subscription without their consent.
Consumers filed complaints with the BBB, stating that the subscription terms are unclear and that they are not receiving any benefits in return. Complaints also detailed issues navigating the company's website and difficulties canceling the subscriptions and removing their banking details. The average financial impact on consumers is $70.
BBB contacted Golf Knack 10 times to resolve the issues; however, the company failed to fix the problem. All BBB Accredited Businesses must adhere to the organization’s standards.
"We take consumer complaints seriously and investigate them thoroughly," said Dene Jobert, investigations manager of BBB Great West + Pacific. "In this case, we found that Golf Knack failed to meet our Standards for Trust and have revoked their BBB Accreditation."
BBB advises consumers to research businesses before purchasing. Carefully review the company's website for purchasing policies and check for complaints and negative reviews.
BBB’s revocation of BBB Accreditation for Golf Knack reminds businesses to prioritize transparency, honesty, and customer satisfaction. BBB encourages businesses to address marketplace disputes quickly, professionally, and in good faith.
