Cornerstone Billing Services in Charlestown, RI, is a medical billing company that became BBB Accredited in 2019. Owner Carol Sykes relies on BBB in Eastern MA, ME, RI, & VT's member benefits to keep her business running smoothly.
When Sykes became a BBB member, she was happy that a business website was one of her member benefits. “The idea that BBB included website hosting and management in the membership was appealing to me. Cornerstone Billing Services has grown quite a bit in four years, and so my time is limited. I appreciate the assistance in keeping the website going and up-to-date,” Sykes said.
Creating her website with BBB was straightforward, Sykes recalled. “The representative that I worked with was very helpful and accommodating. It did not take long at all to get up and running. BBB checked in with me before running the site to ensure it met our needs.”
Additionally, Sykes appreciated that the team working on her site was professional and responsive. “I value that quality. I hold a 48-hour response time with my clients, and so I appreciate it for myself as well. In the world of email, it is nice not to have to wait a lengthy time to receive a response on anything.”
Cornerstone Billing Services’ website features a clean design and clearly describes the business, its clients, business hours, and contact information. The site also has a form for new clients and employment inquiries.
When asked what she thought about the final website design, Sykes said, “I love it. It is easy to navigate, and I get plenty of new client inquiries from it.” Additionally, Sykes mentioned that about half of her customer base comes from the website, which has also helped her recruit employees.
BBB also handles updates for Cornerstone Billing Services’ website as needed. “I simply send an email with a request, and my rep gets back to me with any questions,” Sykes said.
In addition to a custom website, Sykes has used BBB’s member marketing materials benefit. And since her business has grown, she plans to use other BBB services. “Now that I am at a point of implementing professional development days into the work week, I intend on looking into other services that the BBB offers.”
