BBB Business Leaders Unplugged: Michelle Enjoli Beato

(Michelle Enjoli Beato)
Michelle Enjoli Beato’s two passions, storytelling and coffee, led her to start her first business. She’s a successful entrepreneur who now spends her time helping people make meaningful connections and coaching others on career growth and leadership development.
“To me, a connected organization is an organization that can grow,” Beato told BBB's Marketing Directior, David Quinlan, in the BBB Business Leaders Unplugged video series. “Without connections, how are you going to face the challenges we’ve seen over the last 12 months?”
The pandemic left many business owners looking for new opportunities, from products to unique services. Beato says she knows it’s scary to branch out on your own and start a new business – but if you’re able to play into your connections and make meaningful ones along the way, many doors will open.
“Today, we are living in an era that we have never seen before,” Beato told BBB. “COVID made everyone to take a step back and use any digital means possible to connect authentically."
Beato says the first step is to reinvent yourself. Determine what your personal brand stands for and ask the question, who do you want to be? It’s the hardest part, but one she says is critical to developing a new you.
“Become self-aware,” Beato explains. “Whatever your future goal is – you need a north star to get you there."
In 2016, Beato founded an employee resource group called CONNECT at Mercedes-Benz USA. The goal was to connect a multigenerational and multicultural workforce to facilitate professional growth and development.
Since then, Beato has spoken on international stages and coached others to connect for career growth, leadership development, and career pivots.
