Contracted on August ******2* to install patio cover with a shingle roof over back patio with specialty brick veneer columns. Install a pergola over small grilling area to the left of patio. Work should take approximately one week weather permitting.. The total cost was $*2*0. $**20 to start balance due upon completion. The work began on September **,***2* they worked approximately 2 hours. On Sept ** they were a no show helper was ill. Sept ** went to grab more material did not return. Sept ** voiced concerns about wood not flushed with the house. Vendor stated he was aware and would replace it. Vendor stated this area was where vinyl is lower than actual band. Vendor began putting roof on. The boards were not secure. Had to go to another job to meet gutter guy and was to return but did not. Sept ** it rained through the roof. Stated had not put felt and shingles down. Failed to weatherize either. He assured us it would not leak once the felt and shingles went on it still did. Sept*** boards not replaced he told us he would because shingles and plywood now connected to it. Simply added another beam to make it double. Asked about the gutters stated someone else would put them up didnt. Roof leaked when it rained. Sept ** was supposed to tell us about gutters did not. Sept ** states fixed roof leak. Stated he would install gutter after its painted. Sept ** roof leaked where he installed the double board. Was supposed to paint posts did not. Sept ** applied sealant to fix the leak. Received final invoice for payment. Sept ** concerned double boards don't make contact. Sept ** no show son hurt having surgery. Sept ** no show. Oct * no show. Oct * was supposed to come finish up. Asked for suggestions for paint. Oct * reported several leaks. Oct** leaked. Oct * still leaking. Oct ** painted. Oct ** applied more sealant to roof. did not fix leak. Damaged stained patio with paint and chips. Oct ** requested $3K back. Contacted roofer, cost to repair $267* sent quote.
