I hired 50 Floor to install new flooring in my home, and the experience has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. I was initially told that their team would handle everything, including removing and reinstalling my pedestal sink. However, when installation day came, they refused to remove the sink and instead cut the flooring around itleaving an unsightly, uneven gap that completely ruined the look of the bathroom. It was careless and completely avoidable.Additionally, they failed to properly reinstall my appliances. Items were left unhooked or out of place, and no one took the time to explain what was doneor more accurately, what wasnt done. When I contacted customer service to report these issues, I was met with indifference and excuses. There was no offer to fix the problems, no sense of accountability, and no follow-through.This kind of service is unacceptable from a company that advertises professionalism and full-service installation. I now have to hire someone else to correct the mistakes they left behind. I would not recommend 50 Floor to anyone looking for quality work or dependable service. I expected better and was deeply disappointed.

Poor customer service.Issues that are avoidable or potential liabilities:* Initial assessor claimed 50 Floor doesn't use independent contractorsthis was false.* Stove was moved onto carpet and stained itno tarp was used.* Miscommunication about layoutwe requested transitions between rooms be removed, but installers began lining them up. Caught early, but better communication between staff could've prevented it.* ************ hours listed incorrectly on maps; not posted on-site or online.* Washing machine not properly reconnected.* Toilet seat was broken during the process.Main concern:?After installation, I ran a load of laundry and discovered the washer had been improperly reconnected, flooding the brand-new flooring. I cleaned it up, set up fans and a dehumidifier, and notified the company. The next day, water was still coming up from under the floor, so the installers returned to remove and dry it. They estimated reinstall in 34 days.Instead, customer service scheduled us for 9 days later and ignored my requests to expedite. On the 25th, we learned the flooring left to dry was ruined and new material was needed. The contractor said they'd try to finish over the weekend if material was available. Fortunately, it wasbut when a rep ******** called to schedule, they tried pushing it to the following Friday. After a bit of back and forth, we got a call confirming the next day. The job was completed then. Im relieved its done, but the experience was frustrating and avoidable.-Throughout this process, our rep **** had been condescending despite my civility. She spoke as if I was ignorant, dismissed my concerns, and ignored my request to speak with a manager. Worst of all, They did mention that the washer was not hooked up when they arrived on the original install date, so that is why they didn't hook it back. Is that correct? No, its not. I requested to speak to a manager repeatedly, and did not get contacted by one at any point.

My wife and I did our research and felt 50FLOOR was who would give us the best service and price. Buyer beware before using this company. The installer came to the house with nothing but two tiles for us to verify was the correct color and design. Yes he came to the job with no materials. He said he would have to go back to the warehouse and it would take a couple of hours to go get the **** I then asked if he had the *** for the two bathrooms and the laundry room and guess what he said , no *** but not to worry because while he's going to get the *** his helper can start tearing the carpet up. So I go upstairs to cool off and inform my wife what was going on. So my wife went to smoke a cigarette about 45 minutes or an hour later and came back upstairs and said they were already laying the floor. Now I'm questioning in my mind how did he get the *** so fast if the warehouse is two hours turn around time. So now I'm thinking the sales pitch that they had a warehouse where they keep all their materials is B.S. So the installer came to me a couple of hours later and said he was going to the warehouse to pick up the materials for the bathrooms and laundry room while his helper finishes laying the rest of the **** HE reassured me they would finish the job by 6,and they did. So bottom line the *** was bought from a local tile store ,it didn't come from their warehouse as stated by the sales representative that was the first red flag. But I haven't told you about calling the customer service that was in ******** ,who stated it would take 48 to 72 hours for me to get a returned call, by the way I still haven't got a response. If you want to do business with a very disorganized company then call 50FLOOR

If I could not leave a star, I would. They dont deserve 1. I also wish I could attach pictures of the terrible work they do. Where to start; well start with the snake oil sales *** that talked us out of the second estimate we had scheduled. Promised us everything! Only to disappear after hed gotten paid. Then the crew which came to our home and couldnt communicate with us at all. They spoke no English at all. They left doors open to our home the entire time they were there and it was the middle of June. They took up carpet and found a 2 drop from the tile to the subfloor. They wanted to do transitions at what was more than 45 degree angle and leave a 2 drop to the floor from tile. Not only did that look terrible, it was a trip hazard and impossible for anyone who is disabled. I said no and asked for an alternative and they did it anyway. I had *** put down to increase the value of our home to sell. Now its a hazard and I will have to have it fixed to sell the home. When I asked them to fix it, they wanted to charge me another $5000 plus cost of OSB ($225/sheet) which would have me paying nearly 20K for flooring when all is said and done. When I insisted they fix the mistake they made, they just started ghosting me. Also, the transitions they put in are terrible. The cuts look like they were done with a hand saw and the joints dont match up. They used liquid nail all over everything and now it looks like there is cement all over everything. They basically told me that it is what it is until I decide to pay them more money to fix what they never should have done. I have all of the pictures and communication with the sales *** and the awful customer service woman to prove it all. When I called the Regional Vice President, he basically told me that hes p***ared to just respond to all of my negative comments on websites and that hes not fixing their mistakes for free. Do NOT use this company.

Were truly sorry to hear that this customer is dissatisfied with their experience. At 50 Floor, we are committed to transparency and delivering high-quality flooring installations while honoring the terms of our agreements and guarantees.

This customers installation was completed and signed off on. The product selected was installed according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards. The concern that later arose was not related to a product or installation failure but instead to the height difference between the newly installed flooring and existing tile in other areas of the home. This issue, while not uncommon in remodels, is structural in nature and falls outside the scope of the original contracted work.
While we understand the customers frustration, we want to clarify that our crews followed the approved work order, and there were no defects or errors in the installation itself. After the customer expressed concern, we extended an offer through our Love Your Floors Guarantee a program that allows customers to replace their *********************** at a significant discount if they choose to change it after installation. In this case, we offered a $4,900 credit toward new flooring, with the customer responsible only for the structural adjustment cost (plywood subfloor build-up), which is not part of our standard flooring installation.

We also offered the option for the customer to hire a general contractor to adjust the subfloor, and we would reinstall new material for the same discounted cost. These solutions were extended as a goodwill gesture, even though the installation met all contractual obligations.

We remain committed to resolving issues when they fall within our scope of responsibility, and we strive to provide fair options when they do not. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation for those reviewing this matter.

      Respectfully,

      50Floor

Ordered new carpet on 6/28 that was scheduled to be installed on 7/14. Was left a voicemail on 7/11 telling us the carpet wasnt in so they may not be in in time. Had to call them on Monday morning because it was still showing it would be installed on 7/12. National number said it would be but then the local office manager called and said its showing it would be in Tuesday or Wednesday. Come Tuesday afternoon we were told it will not be coming until the first week of August tried to get in touch with manager and never responded. Our sales person finally did and tried to get it figured out last night but none of the options were fitting our timeframe and would be over a week more of waiting to move in. So he said the office manager would figure it out this morning. Still have not had any communication from them. Our sales guy is out of town with a family emergency and is the only one responding. Not the manager of anyone else. The national number isnt helpful they just tell you someone from the local office will call. We need a refund which the sales person said we could get last night. But theres no communication from anyone thats supposed to be working. Do not recommend unless you have over a month to wait for carpet thats supposedly in stock. Someone needs to reach out to get this figured out.

Ill be detailed to help those considering the company. Pros: All people were nice, and the install on the flooring itself looks good. Someone is coming to fix a mistake. Cons: Our sales *** talked us into the credit card. After considering it more we changed our minds and the *** said that was fine, we could change to any payment method we wanted once the floors were finished since they didnt get paid until we gave an A rating on our floors. This is 100% false! No one would honor what our salesman told us, AND our salesman wouldnt return my calls or texts. The quarter round (next to the baseboards) has a few nails that werent hammered in correctly so they just bent them to the side, which to me isnt a great look. We pulled up the painters tape and some didnt fully come up so I tried pulling carefully and it pulled up a tiny piece on the transition. I called a person I had talked to previously with no callback, I called the customer service number and got hung up on, called another day and got through. They put in a tech ticket and I waited 4 days with no response. I called again and another ticket was put in. The manager said they would come put in a new transition piece, so thats good. He gave me an 8-10 am time frame. I got a text just before 10 putting it off to 11, which stinks since my niece is visiting and we are now just waiting to do our plans. The only reason for me giving 3 stars is because the floor itself does look really nice. I really wish the communication part was better.

Buyers, please read every review you can fine about this company. We purchased our floors in September 2020. at that time installation was free and all we had to pay for was the flooring. We picked a product and was told it was their top of the line product. In May of *********************************************** our kitchen. We ended up hiring a licensed independent floor inspector who found that indeed the installation was improperly done. It was separating down our hallway and other rooms as well. We also found out through 50 Floor it was ****************************** better LVP. The floor is splitting and coming up the kitchen and other areas of the house. It has been almost a year now that we have been trying to get this resolved. They did offer to sale us the upgraded flooring and the installation would be free, but we had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and the floor would only have a 1-year warranty. The fact that they wanted us to sign this agreement made us very weary of going through with this and therefore this was reported to General Consumer Complaints at the ************************. They reached out to 50 Floor 3 times, but they never responded back to them. We are therefore committed to letting people know just what they could be getting into. We spent a lot of money on these floors and will never refer this company to our friends or family when asked. Read all you can, dig deep into these reviews. Don't spend your hard-earned money on floors that do not hold up. Do your homework and if you have a problem do not give up, we certainly will not.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Were truly sorry to hear that youve been dissatisfied with the condition of your flooring and understand how frustrating this situation must be.

We would like to clarify that our team made multiple good-faith efforts to offer a resolution. Although the original labor warranty had expired, we offered a full flooring replacement, with the customer responsible only for the cost of labor. In addition, we offered to reimburse the customer for the cost of the independent ******************** inspection they obtained and provided the option to upgrade to a higher-grade flooring material at a significantly reduced rate of $1,000.

The resolution also included a new one-year installation warranty and a material warranty, consistent with the original contract terms. As part of our standard process, we presented a Good Faith ********* to clearly outline the terms of the resolution and to protect the interests of both parties. Ultimately, the customer chose not to proceed.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond and remain committed to resolving concerns in a fair and professional manner.

      Respectfully,

We are extremely disappointed with the customer service we've received from ***********************. Our experience has been marked by miscommunication, misrepresentation, and a clear lack of follow-through on basic promises related to safety and quality. From the beginning, we trusted this company to deliver a safe, professional staircase installation, especially after being reassured by their sales representative. Unfortunately, the installation did not meet those expectations. We received instead, a staircase with uneven planks that pose a real safety hazard in our home. Weve already experienced multiple trips due to misaligned planks, and were deeply concerned about the risk of serious injury, especially with children or older adults using the stairs.Even more frustrating, their installer, who originally performed the flawed work, returned and acknowledged the issue. He recommended replacing the material with a single hardwood tread to ensure safety and durability. Instead of taking responsibility, 50 Floors insisted on charging us more money to fix a problem that was caused by their guidance and installation. The company falsely claimed that we threatened legal action, something we never did. This misrepresentation not only undermines their credibility but further reflects the lack of professionalism weve experienced throughout this process.Weve made a financial commitment to this company and reasonably expect a commitment in return: a safe, well-installed staircase. At this point, we have no resolution, no accountability, and no meaningful response from management, despite repeated emails and attempts to resolve the issue amicably. This is not just about customer service, its about basic safety and a companys willingness to own its mistakes. We sincerely hope 50 Floors reconsiders its current stance and takes responsibility before someone is hurt. Until then, we cannot recommend this company to others.
