After paying them and selecting Ally as my leasing company I discovered that Ally does not allow lease transfers. They refuse to refund my money, and they clearly knew this before listing **** as an option as they have never allowed thisInitial Complaint

Beware of false advertising and questionable business practices. In order to start using the service, you have to pay a membership fee up front and then do a Credit Check. The Credit Check is not a regular credit score check - they have their own criteria that are not clear and not described anywhere. If you fail - there is no money back (is not clear at the moment of application). Tried to email them - support emails come from "do-not-reply" email. I called support they didn't explain the criteria clearly. I was only told that they check how many credit cards I have not the credit score because "you don't understand how leasing works". Finally, you are enrolled in autopay automatically even if you are rejected after a credit score check. The link to turn autopay off that was emailed to me - didn't work at all. The whole UX is designed to collect money, push clients for constant Credit Checks and make it hard to unsubscribe from monthly payments.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/10/31) */ We have carefully reviewed Mr. ****** ******* concern. Based on the EQUIFAX REPORT, the recommendation for Mr. ******* was to apply with a well established credit co-signor or guarantor. At Mr. ******* convenience and for further clarification please call our Customer Service department at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX EXT 1070 M-F from 10am to 5pm. As clearly stated per our Term and Conditions; To take over a lease and pass *** credit screening process, credit must be well established and in good standing. LeaseTrader users must submit a credit application for review and several factors are taken into consideration for final credit decisions including but not limited to; credit history, income, current debt to income ratio, and payment history for up to 12 years. Thank you in advance for your assistance. The LeaseTrader.com Team Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/11/01) */ From: ****** ******* <********@gmail.com> Date: Mon, Nov 1, 2021 at 3:27 PM Subject: Re: BBB Complaint Case# 90650714 (Ref#XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XX-XXXX) To: Better Business Bureau <********@bbbsefl.org> No one said that they used Equifax. They also don't provide anywhere any information on what score is required for their services. The hole idea of this service is to subscribe as many people as they can for the service by hiding any information on how they choose who can then apply for the lease swaps. It is a pure scam especially considering the fact that they set up the fee as a requiring payment that is not canceled even after the client has been declined due to "low" credit. Best regards, ****** ******* Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2021/11/21) */ To further clarify our Terms and Conditions, and as stated in our Visitor Agreement, Buyer Agreement and credit application, the pre-screening process is to filter and pre-screen buyers on the website in order to save all parties involved time and money. Based on the information provided by the credit bureau EQUIFAX, Mr. ******* has a good credit score however, it does not meet the minimum criteria of well established credit history required by the finance companies. As a one time courtesy we will refund Mr. *******'s membership and pre-screening fee. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter. The LeaseTrader.com TeamInitial Complaint

Completely false advertising. This company forces you to agree to pay a membership pending your "approval" where the approval process is not based on the financial institutions that they serve, but rather their own arbitrary criteria which are not disclosed ahead of time. I am simply asking for my money back because according to Sean (or Shawn), LeaseTrader won't serve me because I never leased before. That was not disclosed. What's worse is all their emails come from a "do-not-reply" email address. They try to hide and stay anonymous so they can take your money and commit fraud. Sean (or Shawn) hung up on me when I said I just wanted a refund hoping I'd go away. I'm shocked that this company has an A+ rating when they take no accountability when they are wrong.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/06/27) */ We have carefully reviewed Mr. *** ***** concern. At his convenience, please call our Customer Service supervisor *************** at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX EXT 1070 M-F from 10am to 5pm. The LeaseTrader.com Team Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/06/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Again, as previously noted, qualifying for financing is not presented as a stipulation until after the membership is paid. It is stated that the membership is "so that you can communicate directly with Sellers". Not sure why this is even being argued here, but I guess that just goes to demonstrate how crooked of a company this is. I just want the refund or I'll have my credit card provider charge it back tomorrow. You have until end of day 6/29. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2021/06/30) */ Dear BBB representative, We are sorry to hear that Mr. ***** feels that way. As indicated before, our Terms and Conditions are stated upfront and our customers can find them in the Visitor Agreement and Buyer Agreements on the website, there is no need to sign-up or pay to view our policies. If we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us to the number previously provided. The Leasetrader.com Team Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2021/06/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) More untruths by LeaseTrader. I just went back through the website and screenshotted the pages. The Terms and Conditions simply state: "Terms and Conditions Agreement Banner Welcome to the website of LeaseTrader.com (LeaseTrader) This website is best viewed using a contemporary browser. PLEASE READ THESE WEBSITE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE (THE "WEBSITE"). THESE WEBSITE TERMS OF USE (THE "TERMS OF USE") GOVERN YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE WEBSITE. These Terms of Use were last modified on May 1, 2003." And if you click on "Terms of Use" again within that text, it simply takes you back to the same page. At some point you can blame your web designer or developer, but stop holding my money hostage. Thank you for making me go through the exercise as now I can show my credit company as part of the chargeback if you don't willingly refund the charge. Again, you have til end of business 7/1, 5pm eastern. I urge the BBB to step in here and drop them to an F and revoke their accreditation if they have one. Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2021/07/01) */ As a goodwill will effort to satisfy Mr. ***** we have issued a full credit for the charge. Thank you in advance for you assistance, The Leasetrader.com Team
