I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape. I saved every penny I had for a reliable vehicle and was able to pay cash - $16,750.58 with 53,356 miles. I got the title 05/05/2022. The vehicle has "as is" I ask the saleman why it said that and what was wrong with the vehicle. I was told, "the car belonged to a friend of mine grandmother. It was garage kept and nothing is wrong with it." I did not have the vehicle 6 months and the transmission light comes on. I call Donnell Ford and was told they will do nothing that I had to take care of the issue myself. I did take it somewhere else and still to date HAVE NO CAR. I was taken advantage of as a single female buyer and lied to about the mechanical issues with the vehicle. I want Donnell Ford to either properly fix the vehicle, replace the vehicle, and/or return my money. I paid for something I cannot use. I have had to miss work, beg for rides to get to and from places, borrow a vehicle, etc. I am a single mother and work hard to provide for my child. Again, I was a single female taken advantage of and sold something that should not have been on the lot to sell to anyone. I thought Donnell Ford was an honest and reputable company, but have found out that this is not the case. It was all about getting a commission at the buyers expense with no remorse and/or responsiblity to take ownership of selling "as is" vehicles knowning full and well something is wrong and not disclosing what the mechinical issues are with the vehicle. Had I been told the truth about the mechinical issues with the vehicle and still choice to buy the vehicle, then I would not be filing this compaint as I choose to buy it "as is, but not to be given that choice is fraudulently selling. Again, I am a single mother raising my son, I am struggling because of lack of transportation and it has caused me a severe hardship. Please make things right.
