Who is Your Favorite Ethical Business or Nonprofit?
June 13, 2017

Better Business Bureau Institute for Marketplace Trust Serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming is accepting nominations of both nonprofits and businesses for the 2018 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics.

The 20th annual event in April 2018 will recognize businesses and a nonprofit in Northern Colorado and Wyoming that exemplify BBB’s mission of being a leader in advancing marketplace trust. Businesses and charities will be judged on how well the six TRUST! Principles (bit.ly/1ASGAT8) are incorporated into their organizational culture.

Anyone can nominate a nonprofit or business for the BBB Torch Awards. To be considered, nonprofits must meet BBB’s 20 Standards for Charity Accountability (go.bbb.org/1nwhJYL), and businesses must be in good standing with BBB and have been in business for three or more years. Deadline for nominations is July 14.

Nominees that meet the minimum qualifications will work with university students during their fall semester to help prepare the award application on behalf of the nominated businesses/nonprofits.

Finalists and award winners will be determined by an independent panel of judges comprised of past winners, BBB Board members and other area business and nonprofit leaders.

To nominate a business or charity, visit go.bbb.org/TorchNom or contact Shelley Polansky at spolansky@wynco.bbb.org or 970-488-2037.
