Six Northern Colorado businesses were honored for their workplace safety records at the Better Business Bureau® Torch Awards for Ethics on April 21 in Loveland. Find out who the winners are!

Six Northern Colorado businesses were honored for their workplace safety records at the Better Business Bureau® Torch Awards for Ethics on April 21 in Loveland. Safety Award recipients include: Better Electric Inc., Sterling; Centennial Ag Supply Co., Greeley; Front Range Fire Protection, Loveland; Hersh Trucking Co., Fort Collins; Pro Mold, Berthoud; and Warkentin Electric, Greeley.

All six businesses are policyholders in the Safety Group Program presented by BBB and sponsored by Pinnacol Assurance.

Judging criteria required companies to have 0 percent losses for the period June 1, 2013, through May 31, 2014; a loss modification factor of .85 or below; and be Cost Containment Certified by the State of Colorado.

The Safety Group Program was founded by BBB in 1997 to provide eligible BBB Accredited Businesses with workers’ compensation insurance designed to reduce costs by promoting risk management and accident prevention plans in the workplace.
