If you are thinking of buying vinyl or any kind of windows from Pella, DO NOT DO IT! I purchased these windows from Pella in Glenwood in 2014 and have lived to regret it! Very quickly and in less than a year the windows became difficult to open and even harder to close. The screens were impossible to remove and clean without bending the frames. The sent out a technician a couple of times that made no difference at all. The blamed it on the installers they hired which I had no involvement in. They never followed up to see if I was satisfied with the technician. The tech knew I wasn’t as the problem was not resolved. I cannot even close most of my windows anymore and have to get my husband to force them closed. Our house is built on a very solid concrete foundation so that is not the issue. I have been trying to hold off as I spent a lot of money in 2014 for all new windows throughout our house but I am now going to have to find a different window company to replace them all. Pella does not care about their warranties or customer service. My experience with them has been a nightmare and I flushed over $15,000 down the drain. I tried to call the corporate center and also filled out a customer survey with zero response. Do not work with this company! I have given up on having my issue rectified but hope I can save somebody else from this awful experience!

Good afternoon, Our notes from several jobsite visits conducted over the curse of a couple years indicate that this is a modular home that is sitting on a foundation that has settled a significant amount. At the time of install it was discussed that the framed openings for the windows were out of square (likely from settling) and that foundation work (jacking) would be needed to fully address the issue. The discussion with the homeowner was that in order to accommodate for this as best as possible without foundation work, the interior finish (drywall, trim, etc.) would need to be removed and replaced. This posed an additional expense to the customer's job that they did not want to assume. At that time, the homeowner directed the installer to install the best they can without creating the need to do interior finish work. Since that time, it is thought that the home has continued to settle and has caused the windows to become harder to operate. All of this has been discussed in the past with the homeowner.
