Unfortunately, Bishop Plumbing overcharges for supplies and finds things wrong that should have been noticed with the previous owner's scheduled service visits. Hmm, maybe this is a good way to make money. A previous water tank was installed by them, even though they insist it wasn't, with their name on it. When looking in the crawlspace for possibility of mice, a mitigation company discovered .......Mold, from the removal and installation by Bishop of the hot water tanks a few years before. The mitigation company care of it, thousands of dollars worth. Lots of other issues and overcharges, too many to explain in this review.

The indirect water heater has a Bishop sticker on it for service reference purposes, but we did not perform the installation. Our records show that the unit is from 2014 and that our first visit to the property was in 2017. I understand as a new owner that this would cause confusion, but I’m sure the previous owner could clear up the matter. I would be happy to reach out to her and bring her into the conversation if that would be helpful. Servicing a unit does not prevent future failures. As mechanical equipment ages, failures do occur. Maintenace is helpful, but can’t prevent or predict future repairs. Regarding our pricing, we certainly can review and see if there is an issue. It is true that we do not sell at the lowest cost as we purchase locally for better service and the pricing is based on our vendors pricing. Buying locally helps support our community, allows for superior support when it comes to warranty or product defects, and they work with area companies to carry products that support the type of equipment that is installed in this area that in the end is great for the customer. We have attempted to discuss this situation and would like to continue those efforts in a productive way.

We went ahead and contacted the former owner and she confirmed that Bishop did not install the water heater. She further explained that she provided the receipts upon the transfer of property and asked that you check the documents and you should be able to find the receipt for the installation.
