You will find below a letter I hand delivered to Advocate Construction. The only response I received was 2 phone calls from a ***************** first conversation was on 11/15/2023 which was pretty much about how great vinyl siding is and in his ten years he has never did an aluminum siding job. I made it very clear to him that Advocate Construction did not fulfill their contract installation date due only to the fault of their ordering the wrong product and we do not want Advocate installing our siding. I told him what they need to do refund our deposit. He said he would have to get back to me. On 12/12/2023 I received the 2nd call from ****** in which he was informing that the remaining materials had come in and wanted to schedule an installation date. I again made it very clear to him that we were done with Advocate Construction and we want our deposit back. He said he could not make that decision, we asked that he have the person that can call us. This company is very bad with any type of customer service, it is now 1/18/2024 and we are still waiting for that call.To:Advocate ConstructionNovember 6th, 2023 ********************************************************************* This letter/email is regarding the failure to start and complete the aluminum siding job at ********************** with ********************* as described in the contract.On the contract (attached) dated 9/12/2022 on page 2 section 2 that complete the work within a build period starting approximately April 1 ending approximately October 31st. That did not happen.A deposit check #**** was supplied on 4/12/2023 in the amount of $8,290.66 and is now requested to be returned immediately.I received a call in early April to schedule delivery of materials I believe on Monday April 24 and starting work on Tuesday. I received a call the Friday before work was to begin from the crew *******. He stated that he was looking over the job description and noticed that the 2 wings on the front of the house that were to be removed by them had lights attached and he could not have any of his workers doing that, so we were responsible to have the wall removed before work was to begin. From day one I was told that Advocate would take care of this tear down and now at the last minute I am told it is my responsibility. Unfortunately, you cannot get someone at that late of a notice, so I was forced to do the job myself. On Monday the material was delivered and luckily before the delivery person left, we noticed that the material was vinyl and not aluminum. I made a call immediately and was told the delivery person will take back the materials and someone would be getting back to me to reschedule.Two weeks later I get a call from a gentleman that said he was the ordering manager and wanted me to know that the quality of vinyl they use is just as good quality as aluminum, I replied that I hope he was not trying to convince me of accepting vinyl and that the insurance coverage was to replace aluminum which is what we want. It is now over 6 months later, and we have not received a phone call, text or email.We are done, if the merchandise would have been ordered correctly, we would have had it installed 6 months ago and because of your companies error it is not done.We have been inconvenienced in many ways along with having both areas on the front of our home where there is bare wood and loose siding in preparation of siding installation (pictures attached.********************* ******************************************************************************
