I recently bought a Equinox from Ewald Auto Group in ******** , **. Now the salesman was a friend of mine , thats why I went there.. I had asked him about other cars and trucks and he always had mentioned that they had a problem in some way or shape. He had texted Me a photo of a vehicle I might be interested in. So I went there to look at this suv. when I got there the truck was still dirty and was , as I was told undrivable at that time. He knew I wanted to buy something that day and drive it home. So we sat in front of his computer and and went through all the cars and trucks they had available . We settled on a Chevy Equinox and went to another of their dealers in ********* ***** and Picked It up. It drove fine back to the ******** Dealer so I bought it . Never was told that Chevy has a Problem with its 2.4 and 3.6 engines . the oil clogs the intakes or something like that so the the oil will not flow through out the engine, and destroys the engine. . A rebuilt engine is about 6000.00 plus dollars . They asked about insurance on the vehicle but if there was nothing wrong with the product why should i need it. Just keep changing the oil every 3000. miles , right ? . I just thought they wanted me to spend more money. I spent almost 15000.00 dollars already, Chevy is supposed to be a good brand , Right? My salesman never said there was a problem with those trucks. After being a Hero and saving me from -2 degrees and wind chill the night night it broke down 30 miles away from my house , He now wont even answer my text messages or calls. I waited almost two weeks before I called another mechanic to fix the truck , I've been out of work for three weeks now ?? Is that how you treat a customer or even a friend . ****************

We sold the vehicle on 10/07/2023 as-is, the customer was offered a warranty at that time and declined. We would be willing to accommodate the repairs at a discounted price at our Cheverolet dealership in Oconomowoc. I will reach out to the customer today to see if we can be of any further assistance.Review from LYNN W

On March 1 2023 I went to Ewald about a check engine light that came on my car. I only just bought this car a few months before from a different dealer but since this was a Jeep Renegade I was told only a Jeep dealer could fix my problem. So I went in to Ewald to have them check why this light was on. They told me it was a overheating problem/air conditioner. And it would cost me over $1000! But since I was such a good customer, never been there before, they would give me a discount so the total bill was $975. I have had cars that overheated and I knew it but since this car was newer I just let them fix it. Now about 7 months later the same light is on. This time I went to a auto store and had them check the light out. Guess what? The light was for low pressure on my tires!!!! NOT an overheating problem!!! I am so ****** off, especially since being a senior citizen I am on a fixed budget BUT they still should not do things like this!!! I will NEVER GO BACK and I'm going to let it be known what they did. Don't go to Ewald Automotive Group in ******************, **! They rip you off, besides being rude to their customers!!
