On 5/11/22 from my home in *********. Over the phone I had The vehicle delivered to the dealership. they received my **** ***** Impala SS and being diagnostics. ***** contacted me and informed me that their technicians looked the car over and discovered that it had a check engine light on with 6 codes to fix. ***** contacted me and told me that the car needed a bank 2 o2 sensor. As well as a cam shaft positioning sensor because oil was seeping into the sensor through the electronics of the sensor.. & A key fault. I approved those repairs. Telling him that I was Informed that the issue was due to having a Chinese brand optispark and ***** told me that the optispark was fine. shortly after ***** tells me that While repairing those issues the technician noticed the timing was way off the timing was at 32deg when it should have been neg-7 . ***** calls me and tells me that they got the car back together.. all the lights on the dash ( check engine lights ). Are off, and that the car sounds great.. however after the car warms up it runs rough.. I informed him thats the very reason I brought it to them and that guy at valet service said it was an optispark issue.. he informed me the technician said that the car looses fuel pressure after warming up and that the technician wanted to replace the fuel pump at an additional $750.. I told him I needed time to think about that. I called back 5/25 and approved the fuel pump install. A week later 6/1/22 ***** left me a message to call him, during this call he informed me that the technician did install the fuel pump and while out test driving the car the engine locked up on him. He informed me that I would have to purchase a new engine from them at $9,000. Minus the cost of the repairs I agreed to pay for. The facts are ***** and or his technician went opened the timing chain cover to gain access to the sensor, and also changed the timing.. I think they should install the new motor at their expense.
