We love Eddie Bauers clothing lines and are frequent customers. But we are not at all satisfied with their corporate support. Somehow my loyalty account got corrupted by EB. As a result I cannot place any online orders. They admit it is their problem. Over the past 4 years (I have the emails) I hit a dead end when reaching out for tech support. A very nice customer service rep ******** recently did everything he could to solve the problem but came back that the only solution for me was to create a new email address for the loyalty account. REALLY. A customer is expected to create and maintain an email address for the sole purpose of being able to buy clothing online from EB? I asked that my situation be elevated to a supervisor but was told that if Tech gives a solution that is the only option. As a customer I have 2 options. I can shop in store which isnt possible for half of the year when we live in an area that doesnt have EB. Or I can further transition our buying to LL Bean which we like equally and they have amazing customer service.Review from eliz b

Terrible online service..items also arrive very late..then they charge a return fee..plus take to *** store, pay to print label. The products are nice but never again. I tried to take care of returning an order this week and reordering something else..and they could not bring up my account nor reset my password..and I spoke with tech people.Review from Cheryl H

Eddie Bauer has withheld a nearly $500 refund that it owes me for months, given me the run-around repeatedly over the phone, claimed my bank is at fault when in fact it is Eddie Bauer that never issued the refund, and so on and so forth, to the point where I will apparently have to pursue legal action against EB to recover my money. An awful, entirely disrespectful and disillusioning experience.Review from Jason S

I've done business with Eddie Bauer for years, so when I placed an order for a Christmas gift with them I expected customer service and delivery of my item. The order was never shipped and missed the deadline for the holiday, I proceeded to contact them four times (every customer service representative was based in India) and each time was given a different excuse (pre older item, covid delay, delay in transit, lost in transit) and different delivery dates each time. I was also told that the order would receive expedited two day shipping which it did not receive. I just checked on it again this morning and they cancelled my order. They did not contact me about cancelling my order and if I hadn't checked then I would still be waiting for the item to arrive by the next delivery date that they gave me. I'm a guide level member and this is unacceptable. I'm reading many others who are having the same issue with this company. Absolutely abhorrent company and customer service.Review from Kerry V

I placed an order during Black Friday sales. The order sat in limbo and then when I got tracking the item never came. Showed as being returned which I never initiated. Also, didnt get the money. So I emailed a couple times, no answer, did live chat crickets. Called them up today; the first guy told me he would issue a return for the order and I would have to reorder. So he put me through to sales and said hed take money off and match the price I paid. Sales lady takes my call and they reviewed my previous order she took my info to pay, said there would be $35 charge for express but she could remove it afterwards, and Ill get my order by Friday. Well the order came through and I was charged for the shipping AND she ordered the wrong size. So I called again. The next guy tells me he cant adjust my order from 1 hour ago, my option is to cancel it and reorder AGAIN and be out more money for awhile or I can wait till it gets here and exchange it in store. Yeah that sounds like a great idea, Merry Christmas, now go exchange your gift so I opted to cancel, he said I would receive an email in a few hours. I didnt. So I called again. They tell me its not cancelled yet, and the money could take 5-7 business days to come back to me. Awesome, Im now out a lot of money.. also he tells me I wasnt likely to get it before Christmas anyway!!! They lied to me. The last one was honest mind you. He stated he credited me back the money for that order, and sent an email confirmation but Ill believe when I see it. NEVER ordering from them again. I wasted so much time dealing with them today and I have nothing to show for it other than waiting for money to return to me. Oh I didnt get credited the whole amount I paid when I checked my email he sent, they shorted me over $70 and i received nothing!.. do not order from Eddie Bauer online. AWFUL. I ordered several items on Thanksgiving night, during their Black Friday sale. It is now almost 1 month later and one of the items still has not shipped despite receiving an email 1 week ago that it was shipped. Their tracking page shows not shipped with a tracking number which is not valid. Why even send an email? This is one of the worst online purchase experiences Ive ever had. Feels like TEMU or some other scam. Their products are also a drastic downgrade from what they were like 10 years ago. This brand is a hollow shell of its former self. On Saturday, December 2, 2023, I went back to the ******************* Eddie Bauer store to exchange jeans that I had purchased a few days earlier. When I asked an employee (*****************************) at the return/checkout counter that I wanted to exchange the jeans for a different size, Mr. ****** told me I got too good a deal on the jeans and that I would have to pay more money if I wanted to exchange the jeans! Eddie Bauer was selling the jeans at half price, and I had redeemed two awards certificates (one for $5 and another for $10) that I had accrued for being an established Eddie Bauer customer. I ended up having to pay an additional $14.06 for an exchange!Review from Mark S

Ordered item in October...never arrived..3 calls to customer service with no refund...3 trips to a retail store to have them contact a manager...3 calls from managers with no refund..it is now December...no refund for over $100.00. Company is a joke...do not order online...there is no customer service and you can kiss your money goodbye!!!Review from Pamela O

I ordered items that were not delivered yet and a new sale was currently on. I asked for a price adjustment and was told I would receive one as a one time credit. I was happy until I realized it did not show up on my credit card statement as the amount promised me. I reached out to a supervisor who was rude and not interested in keeping me as a valued customer. Wasted time with rude people, I will shop elsewhere. I now understand why Eddie Bauer has closed so many stores. Although the clothes are good quality their customer service is terrible. Someone in another review used the word fraud and I agree that they are shady. An item I ordered went down in price a day or so after I ordered it, so I called to get the difference back. The difference was sent back in a e gift card, however when I clicked on the gift card, there was an error message and there was no credit. I called and so far I have received nothing even though my credit card has be charged the full amount. Where did the money go?
