ZERO STARS.This is the worst Property Management Company that you will hire and don't tell me I didn't warn you. They are actually the reason why we sold our rental. The owner-employee (Tracey) does not return phone calls in a timely manner. Sometimes it would take up to 7 days or more and she always had excuses. She also never answers her phone personally but lets the assistant answer. If you ask anything about what to do, she will not answer what you need but send you a huge pdf file so you can go read it yourself. This is true for any legislature that you ask her about as well.She also seems to be on the side of the renters rather than the one basically signing her paycheck. We were never informed that she would rent our home out to 5 non-related male individuals. Not a single family household which the home is categorized as.When we refreshed the home, she made decisions that were not what we had agreed upon like the color of the walls. She seems to hire the most inexperienced and cheapest contractors thus speaking to the quality of the work after a refresh. Pay attention when you have them do the work because we saw a lot of work that we paid for that was not done, like the ceiling paint, unpainted exterior portions and dents on the walls. Part of the wall was obviously hit by a car bumper from the garage and not leveled but they didn't see it even though it was so obvious.You will also need to know how to manage the property. I know it defeats the purpose but Dove was telling me that we pay one fee for water and sewer which is not correct because I was charged by the city based on 5 people and Dove did not cancel it with the city for months so we were getting charged the higher price with 5 people instead of zero. (I will change this review when she offers proof that they notified the city).In short, this company does not care about you or your property so hire them at your own risk.Dove Property Management Inc Response

Dove Property Management is a small business and reviews are very important to us.As a small business it is discouraging when we learn that we have customers and clients who are unhappy with our service. Well admit that we are not perfect, we are human, and we do make mistakes, but we also welcome the opportunity to improve and do better. We will agree that during the pandemic things did take longer, and our clients always spoke with a live person from our answering service if we were unavailable.During the pandemic legislative changes to the rental housing industry came fast and furiously. We kept up to date by attending weekly legislative update meetings, collaborating with peer professionals to identify best practices in our changing industry, and provided our clients with information about laws which affected their investment properties. We worked closely with property owners, renters, licensed and bonded contractors, and service-providers to ensure timely response to service requests and repairs.One deeply concerning comment from the reviewer is the fact that the claim that there are sides to choose in property management. As a professional property manager, there is no side, renter or property owner, to choose and to do so would be an unfair and illegal practice. If you are a private owner using a professional property manager, you are required to comply with the laws from the Fair Housing Act. If an applicant meets the rental criteria for the property that they have applied for, then they are approved to occupy said rental property. The Fair Housing Act covers most housing. We care about our property owners, our renters, our service providers, our colleagues, and our community at-large.
