My wife has been bedridden for over three years. Although we have a regular professional caregiver from ****************** Services, I occasionally travel. Many months ago we secured Advanced Health Care to occasionally come when I am out of town and/or when neither her regular caregiver nor backup is able to come.This worked OK until recently. Last month (December, 2021) I called to arrange for someone to be here Wednesday, January 12th (2022). At the time the woman from Advanced Health Care also spoke with my wife on the phone as well. Unfortunately I failed to write down the name of the woman that we both spoke with, nor record the day and time that I called.Nobody showed up on 1/12/22 and nobody called; so my wife went without dinner that night. I called today (1/17/22) and spoke with one of the owners about the matter. She denied any knowledge of the call, and complained of being short-staffed. Worse, she fired us as clients. In my opinion this was very unprofessional. We should have been warned months ago that she could no longer keep my wife as a part-time client so that we would have had time to find another backup. I told the part-owner that one minute of communication is worth a month of resolution...but she again denied having any record of the December phone call from me.A formal letter of apology would be appreciated.CRH

My father is a decorated military veteran and a few years ago the VA assigned Advanced Health Care in Olympia to provide home health aid for him. He's in his 90s so the home health aid worked closely with my mother who is a compassionate, precise, and capable caregiver for my father. Advanced assigned a home health aid who stoled a large sum of cash from my parents. My mother began noticing money disappear from her purse. She moved her purse into an isolated part of the house and the home health aid kept finding the purse and started stealing from my father's wallet. We reported the exact days and amounts of the thefts to Advanced they basically denied that the thefts were happening and told my mother that wallets or purses shouldn't be left out to provide temptation to the home care aid. They blamed my parents for not hiding valuables! What kind of agency hires people that would give in to this kind of temptation? As of my final conversation with the manager there, Advanced had no intention of disciplining the care giver who they considered one of their best. We all know that the worst perpetrators of crime are often the most persuasive. That was the case here. They instead reported the case to DSHS who sent a social worker out to evaluate the mental capacity of my parents. So instead of dealing with the victimization of may parents, Advanced denied the theft and blamed my parents. My parents were victimized not once, but twice. We reported to the local police that this home health care aid who took well over $1,000. Instead of advocating for their clients, Advanced Health in Olympia enabled their employee to victimize my parents, then they victimized them again. I assume they allowed this employee to continue working and victimize other elders. I have a three college degrees including a masters degree in social work. I urge you to be vary careful with this company.
