My home heating stopped working on 12/19/2022. I googled heating repair & found Pacific Heating & Cooling on the internet. I immediately called their phone number at ************** & the rep who answered my call told me that a repair rep will be coming to check my heater. She told me that it will cost me $119.00 plus tax for the initial visit to troubleshoot the issue with my home heater. The next day 12/20/2022 the repair rep showed ** in my house. His name is *****, **** watched him checked the heater & told me that the blower motor is shut & I need to replace it including the capacitor. He also told me that my heat exchanger has a ********** needs replacement also. For that particular job, it will cost me $5,401.00 plus tax. He then he started to talk about **************** benefits. I am not really interested in the membership. All I wanted is to fix the problem right away because it was really cold at that time around 22 degrees Fahrenheit average. ***** C., recommended that I replaced the my old heater with a new one. I asked him how much? He told me that it will be between $8,000 - $9,000. I was shocked at the pricing. I asked him that I am a retiree & paying $8k - $9k will be difficult for us financially. He assured me that they have a monthly payment plan. But I told ***** C. that I will need a second opinion. He left after that after I payed the initial visit amount of $119 plus tax. What I learned about Pacific Heating & Cooling is that they dont care about their customers well being. They are a salesman disguised as ********************************************* technicians. They are targeting retirees & older folks. I have a friend of mine who is also a ********************************************* qualified *************** ordered the blower motor for $265.00 including capacitor. He did not replace the heat exchanger because he told me that having a minor crack is not an issue. This tactics by Pacific Heating to **** as much money from their customers is their primary objective. Be careful guys.
