Hands down we would recommend **********. We have been doing business with them for years. We have service contracts on all of our equipment. The technicians and sales representatives are extreme knowledgeable, and always give you the best deals they can. We recently decided to upgrade our 28-year-old furnace and air conditioner which were going to need some parts. Lucky for us they were promoting a buy a new air conditioner and get a furnace for free! Our sales rep came out and we were extremely happy with the results, he gave us all our options and we never felt pressured.Mercurio's Heating & Air Conditioning Response

Today, 1st of Nov 2023, *************************** performed an in depth analysis of what is wrong with my furnace. After an extensive test of each component inside the furnace he determined that there is no gas feeding into the burner although there is enough pressure in the gas lines. Due to the cost of the replacement part plus labor he recommended what is best, that is to replace the furnace due to its age, made in ****. I totally agree because a new furnace comes with all kinds of factory warranty as opposed to repairing an almost ancient furnace that could keep on failing one component after component.Mercurio's Heating & Air Conditioning Response

I was pleased and surprised how easy it was to get a heat pump system put in our house, from the permitting, financing and ****************** modifications. ********** removed our oil furnace and got the instalation complete in 2 days. ***, at Mercurios heating was extremely helpful and saved me a lot of cash. Thank you *** for telling me what to try to get my new ductless heat pump to work. Mercurios didnt install it but the installer, *************************, would not come and see why or what the unit needed to make it work. All the other HVAC Companies I called said they dont work on heat pumps that they didnt install. No help whatsoever. ***, from Mercurios said, to try unplugging and wait two minutes, plug it back in and a couple other little things, which I did, and I got heat! In April of 2021, I had Mercurios come out to assess my heat pump which was no longer working due to low refrigerant. Once they arrived, they confirmed the system had a leak and told me it would be $1400 to diagnose at that time and depending on what it is, they may be able to fix it for that as well. I thought that seemed expensive, but they were there and I needed my heat pump to work. Luckily enough for me that day, an hour later they found my leak and repaired my heat pump for the $1400 initial estimate, which took 3-4 hours for the entire visit. As a part of the repairs, they installed a receiver dryer on one of my lines. This summer when I went to use my a/c, it would not blow cold again and my wife had a co workers husband who is an HVAC professional inspect our system and our system was low on refrigerant again. He pointed out a leak to me at the receiver dryer that Mercurios installed. He recharged my system to get me working again. I contacted the tech from Mercurios directly on the phone number he provided me the day he did the service. He said he would look into it and then when I followed up a week or so later, he ghosted me. I know summer is a busy time for a/c service and since my heat pump was currently functioning, I called in November to make an appointment. After explaining my situation, the Mercurios associate informed me the warranty on the repair was 1 year and that I would have to pay another trip charge and diagnosis. I'm not paying another $1400 to have Mercurios come out and fix a repair that wasn't done properly in the first place. I work on automotive air conditioning so I'm not a layperson when it comes to understanding that small leaks on an a/c system can take a long time to show symptoms. If I pay to have a job done, and it isn't done right, I don't think it's unreasonable to inspect and fix your work, even after a year has passed.Mercurio's Heating & Air Conditioning Response

Thanks for letting us know your concerns. We apologize that ************** didn't follow up with you earlier this year, and would ask that any future communication go directly to our office. Our field personnel don't handle scheduling appointments or follow up for customers. We would have been happy to go back to your house if you had contacted the office when it occurred. As for the warranty, our repair warranty is clearly stated on the invoice that you received, which is why the person you spoke with let you know about the trip charge and diagnostic. For liability reasons, we are unable to accept a diagnosis from another party such as your wife's coworker's husband, and we would have to perform that to determine how to move forward. On 4/19/21 a tune up was performed on my gas furnace and ** system. The ** system had not been checked in years because it is used so infrequently and I had never had a problem with it. The technician said it was cooling properly and had a full charge of Freon. I was then advised that Freon was no longer being used and I should consider replacing my ** system. Four months later the ** stopped cooling. It was running but not cooling. A second technician came on 8/12/21 and said the Freon was completely depleted and there must be a large leak somewhere in the system. The estimate to replace the Freon was $1,015.19 and that did not include a leak check that could run between $200 and $5000. It seems to be a huge coincidence that this leak developed after the April tune up. Perhaps when the gas pressure was taken the valve caps were not properly replaced or damaged in some way. Because of the estimated cost of repair it forces me to consider replacement. I am very uncomfortable with this situation. We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about our service. In reviewing our records, I found some information that might provide additional perspective on your situation. 1) Your system was operating when we left the tune up on 4/19. Your system continued to function and provide cooling for the next 4 months, including during the historic heatwave we had in June when it was 100+ degrees outside. When our technician came out to do the diagnostic on 8/12 due to no cooling, he found that there was no refrigerant in the entire system, which means that there is a large leak. If we had done something wrong on your tune up, your system would have stopped working much sooner than it did. Leaks can and do happen at any time, especially on older pieces of equipment. 2) Your system is 20 year old, which is longer than the typical lifespan of HVAC systems. Normally you can expect a lifespan of approximately ***** years. Due to the age of the system, the fact that the refrigerant used in it is obsolete, and the fact that repairs would not be cost effective, we recommended replacing the system. Even if you choose to not replace it with us, we still recommend that it be replaced. 3) We did not charge you for the diagnostic when you had no cooling. We felt this was fair due to the circumstances. From what our records show, the only thing you have paid us for is the tune up. You were under no obligation to replace your system with us, and we provided you with our professional opinion free of charge.If you have any further questions or wish to discuss this with a manager, please call us at our office.
