They promised me that once I submitted a deposit on a car that is en route then it would essentially belong to me. I paid them 2 deposits totaling $1,000 and they never made good on their promises. I waited weeks on a car that was delivered to their lot that they then claimed was sold to someone else by accident. They then told me another car was built and on its way only to tell me 2 weeks later that it was waiting to be manufactured. Its my experience that they are very dishonest and will say anything to get money from you. I ended up buying a car somewhere else and will never do business with them.Review from Sanya S

Don't buy a car from here or take your car here to be fixed. They will come up with non existent issue or break things on your car and say not their problem or their employee didnt do it because it was an after market item they did not install. I took our vehicle here to have the channels cleaned out in the sunroof because it was causing raining/leaking in our vehicle. Oh they did great on that but broke our cord to our aftermarket dash cam for rear window and said not their problem. Which I noticed camera was not on back window when picked up vehicle but I figured it got put somewhere. Well, got home looked and couldnt find it and it was too late to call. Well, I would have called the next day but our son was absolutely sick and ended up in the urgent care/er, than our daughter same thing so last thing in mind was calling them. Now it was about 35 days past(as everyone is finally feeling somewhat normal again) and it snowed and my husband said lets go put camera up low and behold we found it with a broken wire and in basket with our emergency items. That camera was not coming down unless it was ripped down. That camera made a 10 mile washboard gravel road and never fell once and we had duct tape on it to make sure. Also, supposedly they only worked on the upper front half where it was leaking from sunroof but we were told our cam towers were leaking. That is in the engine compartment. So how would they even know that if they didnt touch anything else or look at anything else. It is not even leaking because we took it to another mechanic and they said found absolutely nothing wrong with them.2nd Mechanic asked why they even looked at engine because he saw no oil on the ground or anywhere on engine to indicate to look at cam towers. We asked McCords was it leaking oil when we brought it in? They said NO. Then why would you even look at engine. We were there for water leaking from above us thru the airbags and grab bars and head liner. Nothing for the engine.Review from David C

Took my wife's car in for a wheel alignment ******* recommended). When we picked up the car it smelled like oil inside. I brushed it off as the tech leaving the scent in the car from test driving it. The next day I got home and noticed an oil puddle right under the car directly under the motor. I opened the hood and found that the oil cap was missing. My wife drove the car that morning so oil was splashing out onto the engine bay. I immediately called Vancouver Toyota and they scheduled me for the next day to clean the oil from the car and replace the cap, and clean my driveway. When I got there they took the car in and had me wait for a rental, while waiting, the customer service manager came out to tell me that the tech denies taking the cap off and since the car wasn't there for an oil change, they didn't have a reason to open it. They said they needed to look at the shop video to see what was done to the car. I left and waited for their response. **** called a couple days later to tell me that the same thing and that they were not responsible because the tech did not need to remove the cap and that someone was going to look at the video again. **** called back later to tell me sorry that she may have misspoken and that the tech actually did take the car to another area to do a multipoint inspection, but again denied that they left the cap off as the check doesn't require topping off fluids for motor oil. So I'm very disappointed that they left the cap off and did not take responsibility. I now have to clean the car engine and my driveway.Review from Coleen M

Purchased a RAV 4 in 2018- Great buying experience Purchased a 2020 Tacoma TRD 4x4 off road- same buying experience At 2k miles truck started shaking during braking in the rear, took to Toyota they replaced the drums. To make this short my truck has been in to this shop 6 times for rear braking issues. The brakes, axles, and bearing have been replaced twice. Its now @ 9 k miles and the truck is doing it again. Except this time they are blaming me starting I tow to much weight or drive with my brakes on I have hauled 3 E-Bike these were 210lbs all together. I have never towed anything. This dealership has the absolute worst communication between their departments. The service department manager **** will literally promise you something then not follow through with the promise. In fact she asked if I was willing to change my opinion on another review site and give 5 stars and I said maybe if the Truck actually gets fixed. I have over *************************************** getting my brand new truck to operate as promised, and the truck is still having braking issues. I can no longer recommend this companyVancouver Toyota & Vancouver RV Center Response

After 6 times in NOW you want to speak to me. I have wasted 22 days on getting my NEW truck fix at the same dealer I purchased it from. Why would I waste any more time talking to a mid level manager? I asked for THE General manager on the 3rd visit and **** played her self off as one, now another gal is calling me and has the nerve to ask me what my expectations are? I spent over 40k. I expect the vehicle that I purchased NEW to work as advertised. I expect that if there is an Issue that McCords Vancouver Toyota fix the issue and get me my vehicle back in a reasonable amount of time. I expect if I ask for Toyota care maintenance it gets completed while I am there at the ****** shop. I expect you to be mindful of my time. I expect honesty, transparency, and, integrity. I expect If you make a mistake OWN it. I expect you to Fight the manufacturer for the customer, when you know I have had huge issues. And I expect if I ask for the ** the ** gets ahold of me , not a mid level manager.Review from Janelle A

The incompetent level of communication by the service department, continues to astound me. I have only owned a Toyota for a year and in the year each time I have visited the service department, with a scheduled appointment I have been astounded at the lack of communication. When you check in you received a text from an unknown person, that says that they are your service advisor and that you can text them at any time during your service. When you text the number, no one responds.Going to the counter isnt much help, you wait around, for at least 15 minutes, while service advisors are on the phone. This time I went in for a scheduled service, which they told me was the wrong service, I didnt make the appointment in there system, I just contacted the website to schedule an appointment, because I got a text and my car said maintenance was required. I was told at check in it would be 3 hours for an oil change? Ok. I left and came back. I texted the number they had given me, and didnt get a response. I went up to the counter and waited some more. I was finally able to talk with someone at 2pm. My appointment was at 11am. The service personal left for a few minutes to find out what was going on with my car. When he returned, he told me that the wrong service was scheduled. I let him know that I was told when I checked in that it was corrected. He said, yes it was, but because it was scheduled with a certain team, it could not be changed. He informed me that he could get it to the correct place, but it would be another hour. I declined and told him that I just wanted my car returned. Why was I not told when I checked in at 11am the wrong service had been scheduled and I needed to reschedule? I never would have left my car. I waited for three hours and then had to go find out that nothing had been done. After all of this, I was pretty upset, so I called the dealership. No answer, I left a message. I called back and spoke to a service advisor, she told me that the manager was at lunch for 10 more minutes and would call me within 30 minutes. She would call me as well to make sure that I had connected with the manager. 40 minutes later, no phone call. I called back. I spoke with another service advisor. He told me that the manager was out on the floor and he would go an deliver the message and have the manager call me. I asked that someone please get back to me this time.30 minutes later, I finally get a phone call. It is the manager. He asks me to repeat my story. In the end he said that he would look into it, but implied that it was my fault for scheduling the wrong appointment. Needless to say, it is sad that this is the only Toyota dealership in Vancouver. If I had known what I know now about the service department, I would have never bought my first Toyota a year ago.Vancouver Toyota & Vancouver RV Center Response
