    When our range top stopped working we called H&H Appliance Repair and he quoted us $35 for the service call, but does not tell you that is just to show up and not the diagnostic cost. Then he spent a lot of time working very slowly because he was not familiar with our range, takes a long time and then told us the charge was an additional $45 because it took awhile. Because it was still within reason we paid him for a total of $80. Then he told us that "he thinks" the problem was with the mother board, but that he may not be able to fix it. He did not provide us any written estimate for the repair and left with no further solutions and no estimate of repair though we requested it. Based on his recommendation we purchased a new motherboard at $600 installed it and still the range does not work. Now we have invested over $700. We contacted him he told us "I am not familiar with that model." Then I asked him to refund our money since he acknowledged that he did not know what he was doing, but he refused to give us the money back so we can hire another person to come out to conduct another diagnosis. He then proceeded to hang up on me and then will not answer our calls. We ended up hiring another technician who gave us the correct diagnosis and spent another $125 for that diagnosis. There was no problem with the mother board, in fact, the mother board had nothing to do with the range top. It controlled the oven and the oven worked perfectly. It was not the problem the original tech from H&H Appliance Repair told us at all. Now we have invested almost a $1000 and will end up buying a new range. This business is not only conducting unethical business practices, it should be illegal for them to have a business license at all. They should not be able to allowed to conduct business when they do not provide anything in writing, work and collect money for working on appliances they are not qualified or familiar with. Lastly refusing to refund when incorrectly diagnosed problem.
