              On July 2, 2021, I paid Harold's Appliance, in *****, **, $359.54 for the diagnosis and repair of my freezer. I was told that the part would take two weeks to three weeks for the part to come in, and I would be contacted upon arrival. On August 6, 2021, I decided to contact them. Upon contacting them I was told now, special order parts take three to four weeks. I reminded the assistant that she had told me two to three weeks. Despite this problem, I told her that I would like a refund. She then told me that she could not issue a refund and only her boss could ***** this request. The diagnosis was $89.00, part $129.95, shipping cost $10.00, labor cost $100.00, tax $30.59.

              This company is very deceptive. We had our refrigerator "fixed" by them for a known ******* problem. Their repairman specifically stated that this was an "easy and common fix" and would "make the unit like new". He also stated that "fixing it was better and cheaper than buying a new unit". This was complete lie. Within 6-weeks, the same problem returned. They wanted to charge us another fee to have a technician assess the problem. They only warranty their work for 30 days. They changed their statements and now tell us that "these fixes often fail and need to be done frequently". Very misleading and shady business practice. I have since called many other repair companies in town to describe my problem and they ALL said that a repair is not worth it since it is likely not permanent. Kudos of everyone except ******** for being honest. I would advise potential customer's to look elsewhere for your repair needs.
